Breeder Abandoned 5-Month-Old Pomeranian Because He Was “Too Big”, They Probably Regret It Now

You need to know your breeder very well if your heart is dead set on a certain purebred puppy. My parents buy from only one breeder but we know the couple that runs it quite well. We even helped them find a home for a runt with a heart condition who most families wouldn't take. Not all breeders are evil, but we need better regulation to stop the ones that are.

You are a moron for calling out someone who would purchase from a breeder. I got my long haired chihuahua from a breeder. She was new to breeding and made sure that the puppies went to good homes. She did not breed puppies with the fathers and did not keep puppies to use for breeding. I lived in an area that did not have shelters and the pound never had any chihuahuas and that is the only dog that I want. He is perfect, very smart and not inbred. I have his full pedigree and saw where he was kept. It was very clean and inside the home. I was forced to buy a dog from a breeder, so I chose a breeder that had a great reputation. I love rescues, but if I had adopted (even though I really really wanted to) I would have never gotten my sweet puppy, Luna. For all of you people who think that I had a choice and am just a rescue-hater, I am a middle schooler whose dad wanted a dog who was fully trained. I spent MONTHS searching through adoption websites for the perfect dog. I broke into tears when my dad said that we had to buy one from a breeder. you should be ashamed for making such a cruel assumption.

@DarkLumiya: We purchased a rare Blue Longhaired Chihuahua from a pet store. We soon realised that he had health problems due to too much inbreeding. He only lived 2 1/2 years. This left us bitter towards these puppy mills. They are just out to make a buck.

I dreamed about a corgi and I got a corgi. And then I got second corgi from the same litter, who is a fluffy. Fluffiness is considered to be a trait in the breed, but she is more cute than her sister. Both are perfectly healthy and happy. I've got the dog of my dreams, I knew how it will look and what character it will have. I know who their parents are and the history of their health. I have strong support from my breeder, we became friends. I really don't see what is moronic about that. But I know that offending other people's choices IS moronic. Especially when it is not backgrounded with any facts and just some sort of bla bla google it

Anna Did you actually do any research on what purebreds are? Or just going by one experience, your own. Look into how many owners have suffered with their sick purebreds, how many more animals suffer. They are also abandoned because many people don't know how sick they are and when they see how sick the animal is decide they don't want it anymore. have you gone to shelters and seen how many of these great purebreds are abandoned every year, Do you know anything of how they live, suffer and die. "Oh noo i have a great relationship with my breeder, pedigrees are all great, breeders are fantastic because I, queen of the world, have had one positive experience so all must be the same everywhere else" I know very well what happens, both "googled" and first hand but it seems you yourself are completely ignorant. Take your own advice and google how the situation n really is with purebreds.

U both still need each other. what a perfect relationship, when u need each other someone u love each other. Adopting a dog is like bringing them back to life, and thats what u did. I bet your pom is a very thankfull and a very happy dog.
