This Golden’s best friend ginger cat had to be put down because of thyroid cancer at the age of 15. The dog, named Forsberg, was crushed. The 10 year-old pooch was looking for his buddy everywhere but he was nowhere to be found. His owner Jen Philion decided to get him a new kitty that could help him heal.
“Forsberg really missed having a cat,” Philion wrote on Reddit. “Problem solved!” he added as he posted the photo of the new feline. Forsberg embraced the new kitty friend with all of his paws and has never let go ever since. One year has passed and the two are inseparable.

Cancer is a b*tch. I mean, it takes souls when we need them most {A.K.A my mom's favorite cat}. To your point Diana, ALL animals and people should have a best friend. If a cat grows up with a dog and the dog dies, a part of the cat will die too. And it is possible to revitalize a part of that void by getting a new friend! Keep it a pair!
I think cancer is far too common. Our food, pet food, needs to be carefully researched by the owner. There are none in supermarkets that are healthy. Organic, without pesticides, without grains, dogs and cats do not have expnzymes to digest grains, too many unnatural treatments are put on our pets. Natural flea and tick remedies are out there. Pesticides on tour lawn are treacherous for the health of your pet, over long term.
