There are so many dog breeds, it's incredibly easy to mistake one pooch for another. Luckily, St. Louis-based artist Grace Gogarty (a.k.a. Little Tunny) has created a comprehensive comic series that will help you identify most of the dog types.

"I've been drawing comics since I was a kid," Grace told Bored Panda. "I absolutely love animals, so that's usually my focus! I worked as a supervisor at a doggy daycare for years and got to meet lots of dogs. The cartoon dogs featured in this guide are the breeds I met the most of."

The artist has divided the series into three parts - big, medium, and small dog breeds, so no k9s are left behind. Great Danes? Check. Border Collies, Yorkshire Terriers? Yep. Pugs, Golden Retrievers, and German Shepherds? Yup. "Sadly, I haven't met every dog in the word yet so that I couldn't write about them all," Grace said. "Although I stereotype them, all dogs are wonderful individuals, so I couldn't possibly pick a favorite breed!"

Among the animals Gogarty owns, there's one pooch as well. "His Name is Huey, and he is an enigma. We have no idea what kind of breeds he's comprised of!" Scroll down to meet the dog memes, and remember - even if some traits sound better than others, every dog deserves a to be a pet. Even if it pees all over your new rug.

I always feel sorry for huskies who are adopted by lazy people. They should get a lazy dog or a goldfish.

Labs are great! They are smart, and loyal,....if you can keep them at home. They're Big-Time roamers. Unfortunately, they don't do all that well in the house. My black Lab, 'Captain Black' had a lethal tail, which was always sweeping back and forth. Unfortunately, he could clear a coffee table in a matter of just a few seconds. The Captain was the main reason why I happily switched from red wine to white wine. Oh, and the Captain sure could fart up a storm too. :D

2 Dobermans used to bark furiously at me every morning as I walked to school bus. One morning I spoke to them. Then on, our routine was they would wait for me eagerly every morning, and I would stop and talk to them. They were happy to see me.

My dog loves to play with the rottweiler mix down the street. He looks like a purebreed, like no sign of the dalmation or the mastiff in him. Everytime he sees our dog he jumps up and down like a little puppy.

The Yorkshire terrier will also show its affection by nipping your ankles. They have teeth sharp enough to draw blood at every nip. (Don't tell me that I should break them of that habit, please -- they're not my dogs but a friend's.)

Still miss ours. He was awesome. Never really had to train him and he listened perfectly. Would just walk near you and come when called. Kinda obsessed about bananas and would do anything for 1. (Stole a whole bunch of the table once... Silly dog) He hated water so when it was bath time, I would just get in the shower with him and close the door. He loved getting brushed and groomed though.

Don't forget that you can almost make another dog on the amount they shed, but they're worth it. They're so sweet and cuddly.

HA! Me and my man just laugh at the fact that our clothing decisions are effected by this insane amount of shedding.

I have a Puggle (pug/beagle) all the food obsession and stench of a pug with the hunting nose and loud voice of a beagle. Also the most cuddly dog I've ever met!!

The most frustrating ball of complete lack of self awareness that I just can't live without. Can hear the fridge door open from 7.5 miles away.

Pugs are the breed that, when awaken by people who snore, gives you the look of an animal who had not slept in 24 hours, but was highly annoyed that your snoring woke them. Constant snorers, our third pug is the worst snorer we ever had and is just adorable as she looks at you wide awake with her brown eyes and snores. They are poor swimmers and if you have one that enjoys the water as one of ours did, she will swim no higher than a fuzzy crocodile!

Five minutes after dinner, our pugs are wearing “we’ve been starved for weeks” faces and looking at everyone with pathetic eyes🤪😂😆🤪😂😆

I rescued my pugs, and the last boy, who I got to have for 10 years, died in October. When I got him, he had heart worm, his ears were chewed away by maggots, and he had been branded with a hot poker, right on his forehead. He was the dog love of my life, and while I have other dogs, and I love them dearly, he was the last pug for me.

Can be bossy little things. They can and will just keep on pushing. So cute to see however they need to learn also, who the leader is. If not, you can have little bundles of love that will drive you "NUTS" at times!!!

For the sake of the animal cruelty issue, stop breeding pugs entirely. No dog should suffer from missing 5 cm of nose to cool down the air (=passing out repeatedly during the summer heat) and have those folds to gather puss and bacterias. Those of you who choose pugs have no respect from me. :P

Grumble owner her....how did you know? Forgot epic shedding, stalking, and such low athletic ability that a few blocks on a hot can be life threatening. Mine are rescues and let’s just say, they kindly out up with s**t from oreviiys owners that no dig would take. They deserve their current pampered status. Did I mention shedding? Next car will have beige interior.

My best friend had pugs. Don’t get me wrong, I pretty much love all dogs, but her’s were obnoxious! They got fat quickly because she simply poured food into a gigantic bowl for them. They got little exercise or attention because she and her husband both work, no training, and they shed like crazy.

So, they had crappy owners. Because they are. Crappy owners. Not the dogs fault.

You're right. I always recommend rescue groups for pugs, because what breeders have done to them is a shame. I got my three pugs that way.

The border collie needs to have work to do or it will be neurotic. If you don't have time to spend training your dog, get something less intelligent. Sometimes a border collie will herd your kids to keep them from getting separated from you.

Tsundere lol that actually sums it up pretty well. Mine sometimes wants to be pet hard and long, but mostly she'll lay down somewhere close and love you from a distance - just don't touch her or she'll leave.

Just adopted an old man doxie with no teeth. Jef is right, he will eat rabbit poops, frozen bread in the yard for the birds, anything off the floor. He doesn't look to see what it is, he just gulps it down.

According to these descriptions, most of these breeds should not be house pets.

You're thinking about akitas. Shibas (mostly) like petting. Akitas are like "no way, dude" as they slip just out of your reach. Not fan of strangers.

In my seventy plus years, I have always been a dog lover/owner. Big dogs, medium dogs, and small ones. But when I got my first shih-tzu I've never looked back since. They're very energetic, love kids, easy to hold, and the most expensive part to them is the grooming every 6-7 weeks. They don't eat a lot, and best of all, they don't leave big piles that need cleaning up. Oh, and they look like hairy little children, in need of affection. I love my CharlieK. Period!
