There are so many dog breeds, it's incredibly easy to mistake one pooch for another. Luckily, St. Louis-based artist Grace Gogarty (a.k.a. Little Tunny) has created a comprehensive comic series that will help you identify most of the dog types.

"I've been drawing comics since I was a kid," Grace told Bored Panda. "I absolutely love animals, so that's usually my focus! I worked as a supervisor at a doggy daycare for years and got to meet lots of dogs. The cartoon dogs featured in this guide are the breeds I met the most of."

The artist has divided the series into three parts - big, medium, and small dog breeds, so no k9s are left behind. Great Danes? Check. Border Collies, Yorkshire Terriers? Yep. Pugs, Golden Retrievers, and German Shepherds? Yup. "Sadly, I haven't met every dog in the word yet so that I couldn't write about them all," Grace said. "Although I stereotype them, all dogs are wonderful individuals, so I couldn't possibly pick a favorite breed!"

Among the animals Gogarty owns, there's one pooch as well. "His Name is Huey, and he is an enigma. We have no idea what kind of breeds he's comprised of!" Scroll down to meet the dog memes, and remember - even if some traits sound better than others, every dog deserves a to be a pet. Even if it pees all over your new rug.

I always feel sorry for huskies who are adopted by lazy people. They should get a lazy dog or a goldfish.

Labs are great! They are smart, and loyal,....if you can keep them at home. They're Big-Time roamers. Unfortunately, they don't do all that well in the house. My black Lab, 'Captain Black' had a lethal tail, which was always sweeping back and forth. Unfortunately, he could clear a coffee table in a matter of just a few seconds. The Captain was the main reason why I happily switched from red wine to white wine. Oh, and the Captain sure could fart up a storm too. :D

2 Dobermans used to bark furiously at me every morning as I walked to school bus. One morning I spoke to them. Then on, our routine was they would wait for me eagerly every morning, and I would stop and talk to them. They were happy to see me.

My dog loves to play with the rottweiler mix down the street. He looks like a purebreed, like no sign of the dalmation or the mastiff in him. Everytime he sees our dog he jumps up and down like a little puppy.

The Yorkshire terrier will also show its affection by nipping your ankles. They have teeth sharp enough to draw blood at every nip. (Don't tell me that I should break them of that habit, please -- they're not my dogs but a friend's.)

I had a friend that bred Yorkies, they we're all terrors. After I fell down the stairs due to them biting my ankles, I never went back!

my yorkie was kept in a cage the 1st 4 months of his life :( so he hates being picked up and sometimes even loved on...he pulls back, like he feels like he doesn't deserve the love :( it's heartbreaking...he will not get on your lap, but he will snuggle NEXT to you...sweet boy is going to be 14 this year...and he is my heart <3 20170823_1...3e15f2.jpg 20170823_150228-5a8b6243e15f2.jpg

Love my Yorkie. We trained him NOT to bark but he "gruffs" at the window, wanting desperately to bark at the dogs walking by. He likes attention, but on his terms and not too much! Too much attention and he'll walk off and go lay by himself, away from me. At first this behavior was disconcerting, but I've grown accustomed to it. ;) He's never bit anyone's ankles, although he did chase a jogger... once! I was horrified. He's a great little guard dog, a wonder to hike with... he just goes and goes and can't imagine life without him. copper-5a8...28922c.jpg copper-5a8c56928922c.jpg

My yorkie begs to be picked up, but runs from me when I reach for her. I taught her when she was young not to bite and she never bites anyone. She rarely barks. But she is always getting in to something and is always on an adventure but she is most certainly loved by all who know her.

i grew up with a yorkie. they're ok, for a little dog. ours was a lady but was territorial, would square up against any gigantic dog in her territory. Also had a tendency to sneak off and go for walkies for miles. The mailman once brought her back from a busy intersection 4 miles away. She was 14 inches tall and weighed like 10 pounds, the f**k was she going?

I've had 3 Yorkies, including one presently. My sister has had 2, including one presently. None of them bite ankles or are aggressive. They like to be snuggled and they're fantastic dogs. One was like the oldest soul who cared about everyone and loved us deeply. One is very headstrong and one is very protective of herself. They're all full of personality.

I have 2 Yorkies and a Biewer. They are very well educated, They are not barkers. Dogs end up being how you train them. These are friendly, happy little guys who always seem to be smiling. Very smart and obedient. If your dog is a mess, you have to review what you have been doing to get that behavior. If you can't handle it, hire a specialist.

I had a Jack Russel terrier who was overprotective. He would bark at my friends, and threaten them if they came anywhere near me. He didn't mean to behave badly, it was his nature.

My grandparents have always had yorkshire terriers. They had a small one before with the long smooth brown-black fur and a bowtie. :P fun dog but she would bark sooooo much. My grandmum couldn't deal with it when she passed away so we got another one. A bit bigger and shorter grey-beige fur now. Always excited to see someone. She'll come running, then drop to the floor as if she'd been hit, just so you'd pick her up so she can lick your face. (Don't worry, nobody hits her, she's just does that) Totally spoiled (by grandmum ofcourse...) and will always be found on someone's lap. :P

My purebred registered yorkie stands back and watches sadly while the cats eat his dinner but treed 2 raccoons at the same time last summer He goes outside and barks the yard at night before bedbto make sure the wild critters maintain respect. He is unable to descend from the bed independantly if I am home but figures it out fine when he is alone. He woke me up barking frantically and I was therefore the first one to call 911 when the neighbour's house was on fire. He has a sense of humour and I occasionally catch him snickering while chasing him around the couch with my best undies in his teeth. He visits neighbours when we go for a walk. Everyone greets him "Hi Fred" before they speak to me. One of the biggest personalities I know.

We had two Yorkies. The male barked for a while when someone new was in the house. He woke us up at 2 am when an intruder was trying to break in. The female only barked if something was wrong or if a child was trying to pet her. The male never bit but the female bit small children who pursued her. She also bit the noses of really big dogs. After biting the nose of the Golden Retriever down the street, she took out after the ankles. We thought the Golden was going to have her for lunch! They were wonderful dogs and we miss them very much!

Still miss ours. He was awesome. Never really had to train him and he listened perfectly. Would just walk near you and come when called. Kinda obsessed about bananas and would do anything for 1. (Stole a whole bunch of the table once... Silly dog) He hated water so when it was bath time, I would just get in the shower with him and close the door. He loved getting brushed and groomed though.

The border collie needs to have work to do or it will be neurotic. If you don't have time to spend training your dog, get something less intelligent. Sometimes a border collie will herd your kids to keep them from getting separated from you.

In my seventy plus years, I have always been a dog lover/owner. Big dogs, medium dogs, and small ones. But when I got my first shih-tzu I've never looked back since. They're very energetic, love kids, easy to hold, and the most expensive part to them is the grooming every 6-7 weeks. They don't eat a lot, and best of all, they don't leave big piles that need cleaning up. Oh, and they look like hairy little children, in need of affection. I love my CharlieK. Period!
