Artist Proves There Are No Limits To Creativity By Creating 35 Different Illustrations Using One Base

We are all familiar with pin-up pictures, especially with the recent revival of all things vintage and retro. While most of the world associates pin-ups with such ladies like Page and Monroe, it is undeniable that a big part of the pin-up world consists of various suggestive illustrations. So when artist David Jablow was given a vintage novelty doodle pad, he knew there’s plenty of scenarios he could put the seemingly nude, under-drawn lady in. And he got to work!
Bored Panda reached out to David Jablow for a short interview and he responded with some information about himself and his creative ideas. “I've been drawing my entire life,” Jablow said, “it's always been one of my favorite activities, specifically cartooning and illustration.” The artist who lives and works in Philadelphia, PA also revealed that he’s been working on his funny doodles for the past 10 years and has over a hundred as of now (and no plan on stopping).

Here is the original piece Jablow started with to create his art

“The half-drawn pin-up girls serve as the inspiration..I just imagine what they could be doing and then figure out how to create the world around them,” Jablow detailed his drawing ideas. “Every one is a new but familiar challenge.” The "Do It Yourself Doodler" series was the very beginning of his artistic journey into the world of doodling over pieces and the artist's creative journey into placing soulless templates into colorful and detailed worlds.
When asked how did people respond to his intricate drawings, Jablow said that the general response was great and contributed his popularity to social media and viral content sites. “I also exhibit the original pieces in galleries,” he added.
Love the flapper in the bottom corner. What's up with the "219" that is in a few pics?
I was in that exact condition myself about 12 years ago except it was a rock in the middle of an unlit road, not a cat. And we hit the rock.
ooooooooooooh no they say he's gotta go gotta blam godzilla oooOOOoo-oo
Jerry Springer Show. The low-tide point of American culture.
This is a Kung Fu training reference. She (the young "grasshopper" student) has finally defeated her master!
Definitely gifted with imagination.
This is among the best creative talent I have ever seen here on BP. And sticking with the linocut style across the board, wow. Jablow should get these published as calendars, bar coasters, magnetic decals for the fridge, etc. Get it out there!
Pretty clever pics.
Well that worked
If there were no limits, he would have created an infinite number of illustrations.
Very cool
Wow, really creative
Lots and lots of violence...
I love the hatching style!!
I absolutely love this kind of style. These remind me very much of old detailed comics that I could explore for hours when I was litte. Also very much like Mad Magazine, and that's a huge compliment!
This is dope on a certain level!
Dang that was really good. I know I'm nowhere near that creative :,)
Awesome. A lot of criativit. Was missing the obvious one though.
one of the best Bored Panda posts this year!
Great stuff
Wow gorgeous drawing style and real creative talent
The art style reminds me of R. Crumb...
Why does she have to be on her knees ?
I was actually hoping to see some more xxx rated drawings.......dissapointed
Amazing work!
Have potential cartoon boobs and all the creeps and immature people come out.
I don't support censoring art. Men and young boys should have self-control and not feel the need to MAKE art sexual
"I don't support censoring art, but I'd censor 'sexual' art." Derp.
I agree. The doodle to start off looked very sexual, and I'm glad I didn't't see anything overly sexual images..
So much violence. Some men associate female sexuality with that.

I ain't buying it ! Most of those sketches were done by the same person.
Don't buy what? It says the the illustrations were done by one person. Read the article maybe?
