Do It Yourself projects allow people to reuse items lying around the house to create something cool instead of throwing them away. However, just because you can DIY anything, it doesn't mean you should. A subreddit with a pretty self-explanatory title (DiWHY) is collecting the worst DIY fails, and they are so dreadfully awful, you might feel like Leonardo Da Vinci after checking these bad ideas out.
Basically, these DIY ideas belong to one of the two groups: a) a DIY project is so bad, it shouldn't exist, to begin with; b) the execution turned out horribly wrong. From leaving a print of your baby's bottom on a bowl to preserving childhood toys like failed biological experiments, some people should really consult others about their latest DIY crafts. Coins randomly killing people as they fly off at 100 mph and ricochet into their brains.
So there's this one truck that shows up occasionally in my city, we call it the book truck, because it hands out free books, apparently, but it has dolls and doll heads all over it. It's insanely creepy.
I went to high school with a guy who drove a van (the 70's) covered in fake grass like you put on your porch. My daughter went to school with a guy who drove an ugly car but let everyone graffitti it. He looked a bit dorky but attracted plenty of girls who wanted to write on his car. Then there's the old "pimp" in our town who drives a car covered in fake flowers and stuffed animals. He dresses like a stereotypical pimp every day. We run into him in Wal-Mart all the time. My grandson loves to talk to him.
I'm going to guess you live in a small Mid-western town. That's pretty much where I grew up. My mother's neighbor used to mow his lawn in nothing but Speedos and VIDEOTAPE IT. Small towns are where everybody just lets everyone else live. At least until that "he always kept to himself" bit comes out....love the story about the "pimp".

Wow, how much heavier is that car now? It's ridiculous, imagine what it would look like, after they all fall off, and they will! Or somebody picks them off!
It may have doubled the car's value, but it cut it's gas mileage in half!
And if you drive behind it- you might get a 'lucky' penny too- since few fell off already.
To be honest, it must have upset the owner that they come off so easily after putting in all that effort.

On the positive side, I like this entire collection because it shows me people are still out using their brains, being creative, no-matter how bizarre and are willing to put it out there for us to see. It sure beats beating fake people and animals up on a screen all day. This shows at least some people are still trying to recycle and use their brains. Good Work to All who contributed .
