DIY Spiral Staircase Made Out Of Plywood

Ben Uyeda (creator of HomeMade Modern) documented the process of making a spiral staircase so you could do it yourself. Well, at least he hopes so, because he made the project details (including CAD files) available online for free! The project requires a steel post, some plywood, a CNC router, wood, and contruction glue. It also requires patience, because each step takes about two hours to put together.

DIY! Only requires almost $10,000 in tools and materials that no one has sitting around! Have fun learning new software! Totally DIY!
I went to to my local makerspace and did a course for €50,- to learn to produce gcode (very easy). After that you can use their cnc router for €240 a day. I guess you can do the job in one full day on the machine. Not that expensive after all. We will make these stairs for our new workspace. Thanks for sharing 😊

Is is durable? Can it support floods and earthquakes? Really nice design.
