I collect burnt out light bulbs and create hand painted, one of a kind Christmas Ornaments.
One half is the scene or subject, the back side I marble. The latest series shown here show a classic/vintage style of Christmas. I also do custom work.
Enjoy!

Thanks-- I can't take credit for the concept--its been around for a long time... glad you like my work!

Load More Replies...I hope you do-- make sure to thoroughly clean the bulb first-so the primer coat will adhere properly. Good Luck!
Load More Replies...Thanks! It's cool to take something that was potentially headed to landfill and make it a treasured piece.
Load More Replies...I am so going to do this. We have a collection spot for used lightbulbs at work so I dont have to wait for the lamps at home :D
I suggest that you clean each bulb thoroughly, and use rubbing alcohol to remove all grease, dirt etc... and use a high adhesive primer before painting your designs...that way it won't scratch or peel. Good Luck!
Load More Replies...Aw man...I want to do this now, but I don't have burnt out light bulbs haha. These were so beautiful btw!!
Thanks so much... I ask family and friends to set them aside for me...
