Dog Plays Dead So She Wouldn’t Have To Leave Park, And It’s Hilarious

People at a popular outdoor spot in Australia recently got a great dose of entertainment watching an owner trying to take a disobedient dog back home. The pooch, who really didn’t want to leave the park (and probably watched too much TV), dropped on the ground and started to act dead – just to get few more minutes at the park…

The whole scene was captured by park-goer Kristen Bohlsen. The whole crowd started cheering when the canine finally got up. We see that the ordeal made folks laugh (well, except the owner, of course) and did buy some extra time at the park for the doggie.

And the Oscar for Best Actress goes to…

I had a female dog a few years ago that would go totally, and mean totally limp when time to come in from the yard. Flop around like a rag doll. She was quite the actress and comedian; how can you not laugh? I sure do miss her!

love the owner, such patience and so sweet. To all dog owners who handle their pet(s) this way, thank you for your loving nature.

Similar when I take my dog for a walk.. But instead of just laying on her back, she rolls around on the ground.. People often laugh at us when they see us

The only thing better would've been if she started thrashing her legs and howling! Dogs do have the intellect of a 2yr. old!

See the hand signals, see the careful tension on the lead, see the handler's body posture relative to the dog ? The whole thing is something that the dog has been trained to do.

Obviously the owner has not established his Alpha-male/pack-leader status. Until he does this, he will never have complete leadership over his charge. :O

Oh no, he totally has established leadership. The whole act is just a show for the crowd. Nothing attracts potential mates like an extremely cute display of dog/owner interaction.
