This photographic portrait project's aim, is to challenge any preconceptions people have about individuals who have a learning disability. The photographers brief was to look past the disability and focus on ability, personality and uniqueness. This film captures the journey we went on and the empowerment everyone who was involved felt. The images are honest & beautiful.
Because my cast members have so many talents that are often never seen by the wider public I have now set up a national specialist talent and model agency solely for people with disabilities, we have signed some incredibly inspiring and talented individuals including some members of the paraolympic team. We are very close to our big launch when we will giving people that ordinarily wouldn't have a platform to get work the opportunity to do so. Our agency is called Zebedee Management and if you are interested in becoming a model or talent we would love to hear from you.

That hair is epic.... And, gosh, what is that thing he is about to ride on? I want it...
That face is just complete innocence, or maybe the "I am about to get in trouble, but I don't care" face.
Beautiful photos - it really seems like you have captured the personality of each of your models.
I really liked these- people are always looking at people with disabilities like they are something that doesn't belong in society. These pictures prove those people wrong! Beautiful pics, I love what you are doing :}
Beautiful photos, powerful project! I want to know more about each of them :)
Excellent photos, - & I mean both at the technical level and of what they capture. All the best with your venture!! If you care to look, I posted a bit of a photo-journal of my disabled son's adventures in cosplay, right here: https://www.boredpanda.com/i-created-all-my-disabled-sons-cosplay-ideas/
I had 2 boys with a disability, one in a wheelchair theother all fixed dodublehare lip no roof of the mouth etc. now the one in the wheel chair had Muscular Dystrophy and has now passed, but he would dress to the nines, permed hair, smart shirts and ties dressy pants, ok now and again odd shoes as he got sick of people judging him. so he gave reason to judge him. but he was a mathamatic genius . and went to uni / so looks mean nothing it is what is inside that counts, hearts that feel and hurt, hearts that want acceptence nd love . no one of us is normal none of us
Really like these, true portraits that make you want to know more about the people in them. Good work.
whoever it is that you chose as your profile image is such a beautiful baby! (sorry, I couldn't resist mentioning that)
Load More Replies...Love these photos. Just wish we were given just a quick bio of these beautiful humans, or at least their names.
These are outstanding Zoe! I am a special needs portrait photographer, and I cannot stop looking at these beautiful faces you have captured! Thank you for doing this project.
This is beautiful and so personal. It's touching to see these photos of people who may feel forgotten.
Sadly, these wonderful people are being killed (or" terminated as a blob of cells," whatever) before they are even born and then those that are allowed to live are harshly judged by society. But why?? They are all amazing and beautiful and wonderful and I want to learn more about each of them.
