Turns Out That Texans Had No Idea No One Else Eats Pickles At Movie Theaters And It’s Hilarious

Pretty much every person who likes to visit movie theatres enjoys the smell and taste of fresh, delicious popcorn coming from a concession stand. And while some people find the sound of someone eating popcorn during a movie a bit annoying, it’s probably nothing compared to the smell and the sound of someone crunching on a dill pickle next to you. Yes, you’ve read that, right! There are some movie theatres in Texas and Pittsburgh, where you can buy pickled cucumbers to binge on while you’re enjoying a movie. And while this movie snack seems a bit strange and unusual for most of us, Texans are surprised that eating pickled gherkins in movie theatres is not a thing everywhere. Seriously, they love pickles! Well, at least it’s a healthy snack and not some abomination in the lines of deep-fried butter. Don’t believe us? Scroll below to see these unique snacks in full color yourself!

Most of us associate movie theaters with the smell of delicious popcorn

But did you know that there are people who can’t help but think about pickles when they visit a movie theater?

I don't remember getting a pickle just to go with the popcorn, I just like pickles and they always sold the huge Best Maid ones at sporting events and the theater when I was growing up. I've even had a pickle that they'd put in a jalapeño jar after all the jalapeños were gone, was amazing and hot as all get out.

Considering the patrons who talk during the movie, look at their cell phones, pick fights, kick the back of your seat, eat noisily, and generally make nuisances of themselves, I would prefer never to see another movie as long as I live then to ever set foot in a movie theater ever again. Was never much of a pickle eater, but I haven't had one since my (then 5 year old) son barfed up the remains of good sized 5-6 inch dill he ate in a nice restaurant while we were waiting for our order to arrive. He was like a green fountain and didn't stop until after we made it to the men's room. We think the pickle was spoiled.

I hate people that eat in the cinema. I pay money to watch a movie, not listen to people chewing loudly. Or doing a live commentary of the movie. Or getting blinded by phone screens because zombies need to check their messenger every 120 seconds. At least turn the damn brightness down. If you are hungry go to a little place called "restaurant".
