50 Of The Most Breathtaking Forgotten Places, As Shared By This Twitter Account
Twitter user Alex Menn shares pictures of abandoned places from all around the world and the images are hauntingly beautiful, to say the least.

Houses found deep in forests fascinate me and make me feel uneased at the same time.
Looks like kudzu. Some counties in South Carolina have a full time crew to keep after the kudzu.
Am I the only one who thinks that the roof looks like a hideous skull?
After being a ruin for most of my adult life (I'm almost 36) it's currently being restored. You can find a couple of live streams of the building at https://cazinoconstanta.ro/ if you're curious about its current status. And a bit of trivia, the last major restoration job was done in the 1950s, during the communist regime, when political prisoners were used for the work. The current restoration project uncovered various notes hidden in the walls by the prisoners, such as farewell messages and lists of names of the people who worked there, in the hope that the messages would be found some day and they would not be forgotten.

Abandoned? Those rails look pretty shiny and the vegetation not over the rails.

This alex menn is a huge huge mythomaniac. He did not go to the places he said he discovered, visited, found out and definitely did not take the pictures he said he did. For one very good reason : most of these places are NOT abandoned (never were) and the pics are all old and well known. Don’t give exposure to liars and thieves. Original urbex content it not hard to find.
Yeah. Not only that, but I had to do an image search just to see where some of these places were or if they were even real. I am pretty sure the abandoned mall pic was computer generated.
Ugh, seriously? There goes my upvote for this article.
And he doesn't credit a single photographer. I deeply detest people like him who go for cheap fame by ripping of pictures they found online. Some urban explorers do this professionally and make their living with their photography. But Alex the loser obviosly doesn't care.
And what of the site that then rips off his Twitter feed to use for their content?
