Optipess, a Norwegian webcomic by Kristian Nygård, uses humor to deal with serious topics. Nygård told Bored Panda that initially he was inspired by comics like like Tintin and Sprint when he was growing up, and by Calvin and Hobbes and Lunarboom later one. As for how long it takes to do a strip? "I usually end up spending an entire day in total to make a comic. When pressed for time I might try to churn out a comic more quickly, often with varying results."
Nygård goes on to add, "Another thing I’ve discovered is that by succeeding in sharing something genuine - presented in a true and honest way - it will inevitably always resonate with someone, somewhere."
