Teen Bullied For Her Incredibly Dark Skin Color Becomes A Model, Takes The Internet By Storm
3Mviews
We all know that the fashion industry can be a pretty harsh environment for work. Many girls just cannot take the pressure of looking their best at all times and turn away from the modeling possibilities. And though the industry has rigorous beauty standards, more and more unconventionally beautiful girls become the next superstars.
Khoudia Diop is a 19-year-old Senegalese fashion model who was once bullied about her dark skin color. But now the self-proclaimed “Melanin Goddess” is taking the internet by storm with her beautifully rich skin tone.”I was teased a lot growing up, because of my skin tone,” Khoudia, who is based in Paris, told the Daily Mail. “And even now sometimes, people will make racist comments. Growing up, I faced it by confronting the bullies. As I grew, I learned to love myself more every day, and not pay attention to the negative people.”
Since then Khoudia, now a famous model, who started modeling when she was 17, has won the internet with her beautiful pictures that have earned her a following of over 235k on Instagram. She’s also inspiring people to embrace their differences, writing that “If you’re lucky enough to be different, don’t ever change.” We couldn’t agree more.

This black pearl is a pure beauty!
Amen God's beautiful creation.
Why does someone always have to start spouting on about 'god' in every conceivable situation. Kindly keep your superstitions and fairy tales to yourself. The girl is beautiful. Is that not enough for you?
And Miran thank God for the dog!
We spout about God because we can. And thank God for that Denis! capital "G" by the way.
Definitely beautifully created by GOD!!!
You know what GOD also created? DOG
there are still people who haven't seen anyone with African origin and dark? What is this...middle age??
She is from Senegal, did you ever study geography? Most of people there are with darker skin, at least 99%. The problem is that many women in Africa are aiming to have brighter skin (the same way like in Europe most of women are going to solarium to be darker).
"Senegal is a country on Africa’s west coast"
Senegal IS in Africa.......
Arty did say African origin which I think they made abundantly clear.
Oh yes we've all studied the geography of regional characteristics of every region of every country in every continent, duh. our geography classes covered things like continental shifts and scree. She is stunning, don't diminish it.
My husband was from Dakar Senegal and has that deep dark chocolate skin! I love Senegalese men!
Yes the human condition is foolish
Hahaha, did I you?
the beauty of self pwnage
She has Melanism, the oposite of Albinism.

I don't even think that type of shit existed in the middle ages. Eugenics and the type of racism we are familiar with today grew during the 18th century.
Racism and eugenic-like thoughts have existed *at least* since 400ish BC.
Not the 18th century... The 18th century is the 1700s. While the ideas existed before, eugenics was largely a 20th century fad (with eugenics in the states in the early 19-teens being used as inspiration for WWII Nazi eugenics).
Black is elegance.
wow... +Debbie Archimedes .... the c@nt of the week award goes to you. intolerant, unintelligent, provincial a$$.
Debbie Debbie Debbie (DOWNER). Don't hide behind that computer. Post a picture of yourself.
agreed...and white is purity
Oh, Shut up Debbie! Mean spirited people are scary; this beautiful black girl is not scary at all. So, Debbie, you're scary
"Daughter of the night" all the way! She's gorgeous!
I Love that name "Daughter of Night" Sounds Awesome! I hope she capitalizes on it!!!
She is so very beautiful! She said “The message I have for my sisters is that how you look doesn’t matter, as long as you feel beautiful inside” this is for all, not only for dark skinned. I was bullied, because I was extremely white and thin. The teachers always said, I'm ill or even more insulting stuff. Years after that I learned to love, that I'm a bit different. It's not only "ok" to be different, it's a gift :)
some people like big noses and small eyes, other love small noses and big eyes - this is natural. one may even like some skin tones better when looking for love mate. but to say any skin tone is ugly or worse than other in general? how stupid is that?! the most important thing is to be a nice person. and bullies are completely shallow.
i hope the people that bullied her are\will seeing\see this
wow she is beautiful !
Agree
Beautiful beautiful woman!!! Bravo for her!
The last picture with the other girl got me thinking how beautiful tattoos with white ink would look. Most likely gorgeous as this girl!
Does it note rather make you think.how flawless she looks just as she is without anything "added"?
Why would you put a bumper sticker on a Bentley?
I love this comment bumper sticker on a Bentley

No, but I might pinstripe it.
You are under a misconception. "White" tattoo ink does not show up on dark skin. it is mostly used to add highlights to dark ink tattoos.
Thanks you Anna for the clarification. Good to know. Was honestly unaware. Was just noting how beautiful the contrast would have been (had I understood how it worked) and of course she doesn't need to add anything to make her or her skin more beautiful, she's flawless for sure. Just was noting my curiosity on what it would look like...
white tattoo ink is the most translucent of all the colors. at best it would show up as a hair lighter than her skin tone and only under bright light.
No no no. It would be sacrilege to deface that beauty. Besides, tats are for idio.......better not say.
"Darky, Daughter of the Night" sounds like a fcking badass nickname to have, and to think her bullies were the ones to give it to her! Own it, woman! Be the Daughter of the Night, and spread the light of its stars! For you are one among them, and shine bright. Now, THIS is a "black" woman, amazing, I've never seen anyone so dark XD Meanwhile, my own mother says I look like a ghost XD
You're totally right! She's gorgeous and that's a pretty bada** nickname. And please don't worry about being pale. My neighbors call me Elvira because I have pale skin, black hair, and natural..uh... assets. In a t-shirt and jeans with my hair in a ponytail, I still look like a succubus. My mom is right alongside them with "You're too pale! Your hair is too dark!" It's not by choice! Moms can be brutal. I just strike a pose and wave in a creepy manner whenever anyone shouts "ELVIRA!" I live in a mostly older person community, so I'm called out a lot. *hugs*
Astonishingly beautiful!
she is luminescent. gorgeous.
She's stunningly beautiful! Those bullies were jealous of her beauty- jealousy and harassment often go hand in hand. I'm so happy to see she has become a spokesperson for individuality with her unique beauty
Are you kidding? She's smokin hot!
She's gorgeous! If we all came from the same cookie cutter, this would be an incredibly boring world in which to live.
She is Beautiful ! I'm so glad she was so strong that she didn't let those "Bullies" knock down her confidence .
Everyone please make no mistake! she was not bullied by people from Her country, why would she? the people of her native country Senegal are just as dark if not darker than she is! so why would they tease her when they have the same skin tone? the bullying started as a result of her living in the racist country of Paris France which is predominately a Caucasian population. the name of the Egyptian God Osirus means Lord of the perfect Black, so understand the first humans on the planet was her color before race mixing was forced upon them by the invaders into their land. they were considered very Beautiful by the people of that era! so Beautiful Nubian Sister Khoudia Diop and all the other Beautiful Chocolate sisters all over the world, don't ever think of yourself as ugly. because you are Beautiful just like the one who created you. Ancestors-...c0852f.jpg
Anyone who made fun of her was jealous - she is stunning!
Wow! She's very beautiful. Nobody can't deny it. I like her flawless skin.
You are beautiful. Good for you, and good for sharing.
Polished ebony, beautiful!
You are beautiful..to hell with the rest. You are one of a kind, you are UNIQUE!
you are so beautiful. TBH, daughter of the night is such a badass and cool nickname. You should own it and show your awesomeness to those haters.
She is a very beautiful young woman and I love her deep, deep dark skin. Continue to ware your covering proudly all the while holding your head HIGH.
Darky is condescending and rude.
That's o.k. You're racist and bigoted
Wait, didn't properly read your post. Deepest apologies Staci. Didn't think before I reacted.
Absolutely beautiful!! Always keep your head up and be proud of you are!
She's gorgeous! Wow!!
People find the stupidest things to bully others about. This lady is beautiful. I think they may be just jealous of her natural beauty. Women need to get a grip. If you're dark, if you're light, or if you're like me, BLINDING WHITE, just accept it and stay your beautiful self. I've been made fun of for being so white and not able to tan. I'm not going to burn my skin just to be someone else. I'm happy this lady has found her place in the world. Rise above the garbage that tries to pull you down. All women, no matter her skin tone, are beautiful, and it starts inside.
She's gorgeous! People can be so bloody mean! don't judge people for their skin tone. Judge then based on whether they're an asshole :)
Khoudia, you are, without doubt, one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. People who make negative comments are just jealous and can't accept the fact that others may be more successful than them. Stay beautiful, for every negative comment there are a million positive ones!
Daughter of the night isn't an insult it's a brand name. Girl grab that and make it yours.
I have traveled this world a lot and never met anyone with skin that dark. It reminds me of statues and art work I would see in the temples of Sri Lanka about a man who's skin was so dark, he appeared to be blue and is depicted as such. In one of her pictures in this story, I can see where that perception would come from. She is a magnificent beauty and a shining light for others who are 'different'. God bless you girl.
Absolutely gorgeous!!! All those bullies were just jealous of her beauty!
Very beautiful and exotic. She just needs to learn to wear colors that complement her natural beauty. Since she has very little in the way of contrast between her skin, eyes and hair, she would look better wearing very dark colors. The bright colors of her dresses call attention to her clothes, not to her.
Her skin tone is remarkable. She's lovely. What a terrific smile.
She is a gorgeous young lady :)
They were teasing out of jealousy, no doubt
You are so beautiful.
Gorgeous girl!
she is beautiful!
Absolutely stunning! Inside and out!
Very nice!
I wouldn't worry about other people either. Holy @#! your GORGEOUS !!!
Wow,her black skin is so majestic, superb gift from god
She looks normal to me. I don't see why people would bully her. She's a pretty girl!
What do you mean by " normal"? And are you really so ignorant to not see why some people would bully her? You must think that racist people are extinct and she is just a pretty normal girl. She is definitely more than just pretty, and the people that bullied her did so because that's what they do. They pick on or hate anything that is different than they are. And she is certainly stunning enough to attract the kind of people who bully and put down anything that is different than they are.
You're the one sounding like the bully now Margie Ring. Wow!
I was bullied in school because I had red hair and freckles, it hurt a lot. This girl is gorgeous!
So beautiful. People need to love one another and appreciate this beautiful planet we have and be accepting and enjoy each and everyone's invidual qualities
She is actually quite a beautiful girl. What I have never been able to understand is why people are bullied for things they have no control over. It is unfortunate. Living well is the best revenge. i wish her the best.
As an artist, I find her skin color beautiful.
Khoudia, your gorgeous! Beautiful skin!!
Wow its beautiful. And tbh Daughter of the Night sounds like the name of a Super Hero.
And what is her Instagram ?
I am just as dark as this woman is and I am so proud to see her being celebrated for her color it makes me feel good about my skin now ! People call me "Blacky" & "Black ass" lol
People are scum. This girl is gorgeous. What in the f is unattractive about a darker skin-tone?
How on Earth can anyone look at her and see anything but beauty? She's beyond gorgeous, almost magically so!
I think her skin color is gorgeous!! I envy it!!
I'm a white European, in my eyes, black is beautiful the darker the better ,my crush is black as charcoal
Black beauty has a new term ~
She is a natural beauty. Her features are amazing!
She is beauuutiful. There is something... almost mystical, supernatural about her beauty. She looks like a Goddess... like an Orisha. I gotta say I don't like how automatically she is altered to fit the western standard of beauty... loooong, loose wavy hair... it totally takes away from her natural beauty which is far superior than the photos with the straight hair.. in my opinion. ed7ee13cfa...1e3be7.png
Wow! This is a beautiful story. Khoudia is gorgeous too.
I'm sorry but "Daughter of the Night" sounds fucking rad! I know they used it with the intention of hurting her but she can totally take that and turn it around into some amazing almost goddess like thing.
If I ever got called "daughter of the night" I would make that my tag. Mimi - Daughter of the Night. I mean how cool is that? Anyone who is so different that they are shunned for it, are clearly the ones with so much power and beauty.
Dark skin people are blessed. All my friends who have darker skin tone have fabulous skin and this amazing glow to them. We should embrace ourselves as we are, only then we will be truly beautiful
Breathtakingly beautiful!
She is an exquisite creation of god...she is mysterious...
Black is beautiful. Beautiful is black.
There's just something I love about black women that makes me feel like I can do anything, maybe it's the beauty in their color (*・ω・)ノ
as beautiful as the night God created
I just want to say that you are absolutely beautiful and stunning. I love your skin color. GOD made you a rare beauty. I'm so sick of discrimination and beauty standards. LOVE the skin you are in. Sincerely, A very white natural redhead
Wow!!!!! I THINK HER SKIN TONE IS GORGEOUS
She's gorgeous 😍😍😍 true definition of melanin popping #melaninpoppin
Darlin there's nothing wrong with your skin tone you're beautiful just the way you are
She's absolutely gorgeous
She is unique--and totally stunning!! What a gorgeous smile!!!
Absolutely gorgeous! All those bullies were just jealous of her beauty!
Oh my word. What a STUNNING smile.
Created in the image of God. You are beautiful beyond words, Khoudia
BEAUTIFUL
She is amazingly beautiful, wow...
Wow such beautiful plum like skin. She look beautiful! Flawless beauty for sure.
GORGEOUS!
Black is beautiful
Such a beautiful Girl. It's sad that some people get hung up about skin colour. Who cares what percentage of melin you have in your skin!
Wow! I always wanted to be this dark. Absolutely stunning!
I don't understand how these immature brats can bully her. I think she has an amazing skin color. It looks very rich. She is beautiful.
"Daughter of the night" should be taken as an epic compliment, even if its intent was different. I'd embrace that name and make it mine.
She is incredible; just fascinating. Never change a thing except your shoes!!
She is absolutely stunning!!!
simply beautiful <3
Gorgeous!
Screw bullies, you're beautiful.
Thank you Khoudia Diop for your encouragement to other "dark skin" women!
Stupid people say stupid things. I'm glad you've embraced your beauty.
I'm a white woman and I think you look absolutely beautiful. Some of us should be so lucky. Of course, for me, my beauty is on the inside. Keep smiling and show those punks that they won't stop you. <3
Wow! What a Angelic Black Woman! She just inspired me to fully embrace my dark skin as a Black Woman!
she is absolutely stunning!!! her skin is beautiful... sounds to me like the bullies were jealous
Or maybe it wasn't jealously and they are just a bunch of racist assholes.
Just gorgeous.....it's almost like when sometimes Asian hair is sooo black that it appears blue? It's the same as her skin. So unique, so glad she's kicking butt now. This is why I find it incredibly sad when a bullied teen takes their own lives - you never know what is waiting for you around the corner.
Crazy this type of an ad exists...... When the models are pasty white the total opposite it's beauty is never questioned nor debated. Matter o fact they tend to be some of the most confident women. Hmmmm
Confident acting. The profession tends to undermine genuine confidence. Too much emphasis on physical "perfection"
seriously, you are spot on. having grown up practising ballet, a few fellow performers went into modelling. while the world of ballet is exhausting and demanding and full of body image 'issues', it's a love fest compared to the world of a model. taking extremely lovely women and psychologically battering any and all self confidence right out of them.
She looks like a goddess!
She has flawless skin..such a beauty
She's gorgeous. No wonder someone saw the potential to see her as an elegant model.
she is incredibly beautiful!
omg i love it <3
Wow! She's beautiful. End of story.
Ur beautiful Keep smiling away Girl u got style
Stunning!
What a beauty! Inside and out.
She's very beautiful! What's the problem with these people who criticize her? They're blind!
