Daring Images Encourage Women To Love Their Own Bodies
Lithuanian photographer Neringa Rekašiūtė, journalist Beata Tiškevič and communication specialist Modesta Kairytė invited Lithuanian women to take off their clothes and face themselves in front of the mirror for their WE.WOMEN photoshoot, which was shot as a manifesto against the irrational body standards promoted by mass media.
For the photoshoot, 12 women were invited to pose in just their underwear. Each woman has a heart-melting story hidden behind her image: “Our models have experienced a variety of poor body image problems: anorexia, bulimia, breast cancer, vitiligo, depression, fat-shaming, skinny-shaming… It is as diverse as we could get for this one project,” says Neringa.

“The success of our project gives us a lot of courage and determination to keep on going.”

Share on Facebookwouldn't it be a lot better if some effort was also made in cutting down the consideration we have of beauty? encourage them in being smart!
. A wide woman can be happy about herself but a skinny one can't? F*****g selfish, thats just calling everyone fatter than you a fat ugly ho
I have about 30lbs of useless loose wrinkly 76yr old fat and nothing will make me like the way it looks. losing weight makes it worse.
When we go to find a model for the word BRAVE we need to look at women. Just every day ordinary women.
Love this. Was kinda thinking "oh here we go again, bunch of unhealthy fat people" but these are simply gorgeous pictures and gorgeous women
Unhealthy fat people? Not all people with some extra weight are unhealthy. Yet another ugly stigma brought on by a beauty driven society.
