Son Notices Something Weird When His Dad Picks Dog Up From Groomer, And People Are Dying From Laughter
Absent-minded people will totally relate to this man, who somehow managed to make the most hilariously obvious mistake. After his son Alex had asked him to pick up his beloved puppy from the groomer, the man came home with the wrong dog.
The dog, named Nieves, has lived with the family for 10 years, however, Alex’s father only realized his mistake after his son pointed out that the dog’s fur looked really different that day. The dog-napper admitted to feeling that something was off, but the adventurous impostor that he took home with him seemed to be fine with it. “According to him, it was because the dog acted normal and followed him to the car and even jumped in as soon as he opened the door,” Alex told BuzzFeed. Also, the man decided not to trust his aging eyesight. “I thought I was getting old and my eyes were betraying me,” he said.
After realizing what had happened, Alex’s father immediately took the wrong dog back. The dogs were switched, and the real Nieves came back home safe and sound.

Share on Facebooki can understand the father being oblivious enough to not recognize the dog--if it's the son's dog, maybe he didn't have a lot of interaction with it? what i CANT understand is PetSmart GIVING him the wrong dog! i'm guessing the father asked for the dog by name, or at the very least, gave his son's name to be able to pick up the dog--someone should be in serious trouble at PetSmart for this...
Yes! I would go crazy if they gave my dog to another person.
Load More Replies...I have a Maltese and yes, they look alike, it is uncanny . Another funny story, once my sister was driving and saw a family members dog running free, she opened her car door and the dog jumped in,she brought her to owners, dog ran into the house, other 2 dogs started barking, only then did everyone realize it was not her dog. This was a big dog, a mutt but was a twin to my sisters dog.We tease her on how she kidnapped someone's dog (there was a man 10ft away) when she opened her car door, dog in and took off, no time for the man to say a word. All ended well, found owner, found real dog asleep under the deck who was not even missing as far as anyone knew.
OMG - the dogs owner must have been stunned - a random friendly stranger stops the car door - entices their dog in and drives off - priceless
Load More Replies...Is easy done - some years ago my parents moved house and their big black cat kept returning to the old home half a mile away. Was called on to search one night as he had gone missing again.Went to the old house and called Charlie - got an answering mioww from near the dark driveway - scooped up Charlie and drove back. Only on entering the house and looking closer did i realise i had catknapped someone elses big black moggy.
When we were kids in Arizona, there was a cat up on an electric pole too scared to come down. We called everyone to help. Finally some one came and got it down for us. We were so happy to get our cat back. My sister said as we were walking away...you know that isn’t our cat. I said shut up...I know that now but they don’t. After all the fuss we made, we were happy we helped the poor cat. Even if it ended not being ours. That high up it sure looked like ours!

Only then you can leave the pet. That's how it's done here. Not only to avoid such funny mistakes, but to avoid the pet being taken by a complete stranger. And trust me - stealing pets like that happened here.
Another wrong animal memory - not exactly funny though - . We came back from a day out - the neighbours were waiting for us. "We are so sorry - your cat was hit by a car and the guy across the road has buried it for you". I was in tears, loved my cat, eventually we got back in the house only to find my cat fast asleep on the bed.
I get that the dog is important but can we focus on the real question: who came up with the chat name that included three singular eggplants??
They do look pretty similar. But is it just me or does Nieves look very dissapointed in the last pic? "I saw you leave with that other dog. We have known each other for 10 years, how could you do this to me?"
Eeeehhh can we please discuss the father who kidnapped a child please?? Further detail is required!
Hahaha seriously!!! How is that part going unnoticed!! "Honey!! That is not our daughter!!!!"

I could NEVER NEVER EVERRR mistake my beautiful beagle for another dog. (And as soon as Napoleon saw ME, he'd be howling and baying, so happy to see me, there would be no mistaking him for another....) But these maltese dogs, they all look the same to me. I can see how this happened.
So my brother almost did this with me and my best friend, we looked like twins when we were 8. He was yelling at her to get in the car and didn't understand why I wasn't listening to him lol lol
Can't.stop.laughing. Especially love the texts and picture confirming the identity of the real Nieves. Dad was NOT going to fail a second time. Seriously, some people need to get a sense of humor. This type of mix up happens A LOT and not just with pets. hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.....
It's kinda like a few years ago when I had six budgies. They all had another feathercolours. But my mother once asked me how I could know who was who... 🤔
Ha ha, same thing with my crested geckos, they have very different patterns, yet my folks still get startled when they see them thinking I bought a new one they don’t recognize. They even get my crested geckos mixed up with my leopard gecko...

I can understand that the dogs looked very similar and maybe the father just didn't interact with their dog too often. I still can't believe that he picked up the wrong dog though XD
Imagine when Nieves reaches home and smelled another dog in the house... He would be so disappointed that his most trusted family have an affair behind his back!
Seriously, PetSmart? More like PeopleStupid! I would be furious if my dogs were sent home with someone else!
Yes, I've just realised no space between hysterical and the word and okay.
Wow, people getting hystericaland angry because someone bought how the wrong dog for five minutes. You know these are white people because ethinic minorites got real problems to deal with
I'm guessing that they are Hispanic, but hey, I think any kid of any race would be upset if they noticed their dad brought home the wrong dog.
