Share on FacebookI once saw a toddler with a stuffed animal. The girl insisted on getting a plate for the doll and the mom even fed the doll. It was cute
I remember being convinced my doll was a real baby when I was six or seven and my parents playing along and telling me and my siblings to be quiet so baby could sleep
Load More Replies...I know a fair few large, tattooed men that are amazing, sensitive dads... I sometimes wish my own overly smart, intellectual father would have cared as much. Or at all, really.
Not to imply that the man here isn't smart... Mine just had very little talent for parenting me, he gave it all to his career.
Load More Replies...My daughter doesn't have a father figure in her life, but if she did, I would hope that he would be someone like you. Doing something like this for your daughter is amazing. You just set the standard for every other male that comes into her life. If they don't measure up to dad, she will know. Great job!!
It's funny. But I wonder if it's making a girl happy or spoiled. I haven't decided yet. I can imagine her friends demanding that their dad also takes their dolls to town to shop for their clothes. XD I think I would opt for giving my children experiences they themselves would actively have to join/engage. Combining your own efforts with with a fantastic end result is much more rewarding and also teaches them something about life in a fun way. Want a treehouse? Come build one with dad and see what your own hard work and creativity comes up with.
I totally see what you are saying. I think it can be bad to indulge in the whims of children. However, given this girl's excited response, I suspect he is not in the habit of doing everything that pops into his daughter's head, which makes it special.

That little girls grin says she knows exactly what she set her dad up for and is getting the biggest kick out of it lol. Wonderful Dad!
Such a great dad! And I had a Davey myself! Still have him, Ugly yes, but still one of my favourite childhood dolls!
Wonderful father, genuinely LOVE ❤ his children. Don't judge a book by it's cover, this story is a lesson to us ALL about parenting. The father "manned up" and did what was promised. God's blessings.
I am reminded of the time my boss brought his daughters Furby to work as she didn't want it to be alone. It annoyed the sh*t out of us all day but I had to respect him for his promise. However, this is the same man who came to work on the day we were interviewing students for placements wearing a giant plastic Star Treck badge that bleeped loud and long everytime he absentmindedly touched it.
In her life, his daughter is going to meet & marry a truly terrific guy .... because her dad showed what a terrific guy is

This is a true Dad. One who puts his children's needs above his own. Great job Dad
I don't understand why masculinity and feminity are so important, and why are girls so much into dolls, while boys won't even look at them. Won't they both be parents?
We have had buddy for 15 years. He is a large brow stuffed dog with floppy ears. He held his bottle from the day he was born, been his best friend and brother the same number of years, he road on every electric toy with my child that he ever got, eat, grocery shopped with us, washed(bathe) regularly, testified and sewed numerous times in the years he has had him. Road with seat belt every where we went, wears clothes, talks to him, has always slept with him and listens to his secrets and worries. Never tells a one of those. My child will soon be 14 and there is no one like his buddy dog. Even fought with his older brother for him. Now he keeps him stuffed and sewed. Now that is love of a child and family. Love our buddy dog.
What a cool thing for a father to do for his little girl!! Kudos dad!!
Awesomeness! Heartfelt and inspirational for sure! Your daughter is blessed to have you. 😊
Not only doing a wonderful thing for his daughter, but setting the best of examples for his son! This guy wins the net today
This is such a cute story i wish my dad was nice enough to do something like that for me when i was her age
First of all, if this is what women think of as "manly", it's no wonder many are heading for the hills. That dude couldn't possibly have worse genes, shops at the swear word, and goes with this suicidal society so much he's wheeling plastic around. F**k this, it's time we changed everything. No more, women, you're going down.
