The dog is probably thinking "I was looking for a new owner. The old ones seemed too angry all the time for me to make them happy. Then I saw this guy strolling through the facility. He looked sad and anxious so I thought 'I better adopt him so he won't be sad or anxious anymore.' This is a picture of me and him after I convinced him to take me home. See how happy he is!""

His old owners kept him outside, in the cold, in New York! Poor poor baby! I can't imagine how cold he must have been being so little with hardly any fur! This truly breaks my heart! But I'm also so so happy to see you adopting him and giving him the love and comfort he so deserves!
