I live in South Africa, and one of the most spoken languages (out of the 11) here is Afrikaans. It’s a great language with some interesting words.
I did some funny illustrations of direct translations of Afrikaans compound words that mean something completely different.

I was hoping, as someone who also understands Dutch, to find my favourite Afrikaans word translated, namely: verkleurmannetje. For those not in the know, it's Afrikaans for Chameleon and literally means "changing colour little man"
This is wonderful, I am from South Africa, and you have chosen some excellent examples of the Afrikaans language and your illustrations are cute and fitting.
