As an Aussie living in the UK I have to let you know that you don't see them that often because they are nocturnal. About as often as you would see an echidna which are Australian hedgehogs. Also normally people peacetime alone because they are wild animals, not pets. Terribly cute though.

I think these animals should be out in their natural habitat, not being tormented by humans just for their own amusement.
These animals are domesticated and can't live in the wild. Do some research before you run your mouth.

Pygmys come out day and night they get in a routine of which ever way owner foes things my boy baths in day time and occasionally comes out in day for photos and cuddles but our usual cuddle and play is 7-10 at night then he's on his wheel eating and messing up his house from 10-5/6 them sleeps again till 7!!!! Xx
And on the 1,000th day, God said, "Let's celebrate our 1,000th day! I will make something SUPER adorable with hair that is not hair!" And so the Hedgehog came to be!
Every time I see things like this I start fighting with myself. I want one...but can't do it for about a hundred reasons.
Most of these are African Pygmy Hedgehogs that can be out during the day if that's when you want to interact with them. So no harm done.
