I have been writing short dialogues about my dog since he was a puppy. The intense affection I felt for this creature I could not communicate with inspired me to imagine the conversations we would have if I could.
Recently, I realized that the huge collection of stuff I had written might actually entertain other people. The problem was they were kind of boring to look at in text form. They needed to be brought to life to have the same energy and verve as my actual dog.
Enter Hey Buddy Comics' talented artist “K”. Together, we planned out a series of comics based on my stories, the start of which you can see below.

I think dogs are like this, unlike cats they can have their food and hunt if there is none. Dogs are different, all are their food.
You haven't met some of the cats I've had. One--Puck--he'd just casually reach out & steal what interested him right off your plate! Others would stick their face right in there to give it a good sniff & a lick if you didn't stop 'em quickly enough. I had another cat--Merlin--who adored coconut. I was eating coconut rice balls when he took one sniff, grabbed one when I wasn't looking & happily DESTROYED it right next to me as he ate it. So I gave him a little dish of his own of shredded coconut to eat so I could have my rice balls in peace. Another kitty I had when I was a kid--her name was Khalea--liked raw carrots. She & my dog, Hotshot, would cozily sit next to each other & gnaw on 'em like bones! My current cat, Diva, loves olive oil, bacon & a dried squid snack I get from the Asian market. If I'm not careful, she'll try to sneak the stuff right out of my paws as I'm trying to eat it! So I give her tiny pieces of my bacon & my squid. Cats can be SO weird in their tastes.

I know a Rat Terrier like that. LOL He whines when it comes to people food, 'cuz his humans will always give him some, but if he's over at my place, and he see's Diva getting a treat, the little jerk STALKS her and gets angry. He attacked her over it, once, 'cuz he thought the treat was supposed to be his, even though it wasn't being given to him. Brat. Diva WASN'T havin' it. She's around his size, but outweighed him by around a pound or so--she SMACKED him, then ran off in a huff. We had to hold Mickey back so he wouldn't go after her. Not exactly friends, those two. LOL

I love both cats and dogs and currently own two small furry kitty babies but I also REALLY want a puppy. Ive never had one before :(. I also wanted to say that you can bond and feel this much love with cats too! People think that cats are cold creatures, but that's not true. They're just quieter and communicate in different ways with humans.
I have a dog now, i've always had cats. It's hard when they are small, just like having a baby (keep that in mind - first year is hard!) - but where as I loved my cats and had a special bond with them, it is nothing like the bond I have with my dog. It's a whole new level of love I didn't even think I was capable of.

love dogs so much owned big ones, small ones, medium ones, each one so loyal this artist here seems to get it :) they're family- but with shorter lives, perhaps, and more hair
