Everybody loves Disney, but let's face it, while the characters are often lovable, they're rarely representative of reality. I'm not just talking about singing lobsters or talking mice. I'm talking about the human characters and their unnaturally trim figures. We never see them working out, but Ariel, Rapunzel, Belle and Cinderella must hit the gym pretty hard to maintain such lean physiques.
As you can see from these curvacious pinups however, Melbourne-based artist Ashley Beevers has decided to add some voluptuous volume to some of Disney's most beloved female leads. Her racey reimaginings give us a whole new perspective on some of Walt's most iconic women, and if you want to add them to your bedroom wall or the inside of your locker then head on over to her Etsy page and buy yourself some prints.

Belle
Ariel
Ursula
Tiana
Rapunzel
Merida
Merida was 16 as were many of princess in the tales...beautiful art work but she looks far to sexy for a tomboy 16 yr old like in the story. Also another reason she was slim she was still a teenager back in that this time people didn't eat like we do today as well
isn't that a little rude? it's something the artist worked hard on...
Load More Replies...Merida had not hit full puberty in the Disney film, ergo ... this is creeeepy!
No, Merida is 16 and was almost married in the film. Ergo, she can be drawn as a pinup. Snow White is 14 by the way.
Load More Replies...Why are all the noses fat and red? Not all curvy girls have round faces/noses and are they drunks? Why are their noses so red? Ugh!!!
Snow White
Tinker Bell
If disney characters are "rarely representative of reality" so are these. Even though I am not sure if that was the artists's purpose, or it is just the text that says so. But: why is any single one extensively tattooed?
Well, probably the artist simply likes tatoos. :P It's her decision what to draw and in which way.
Load More Replies...I'm having a bit of an issue with people drawing curvy women with ultra smooth curves. They're soft rolls and dimples (tight dimples you know, aka cellulite, but that's such an ugly word), not tight balloons.
I must admit I don't like them. Women don't have to be skinny but that I don't call beautiful either. Curvy fine but not fat.
This as an artistic expression is fine. Sheryl, what you find attractive is personal and people should not be judged overall on yours or anybody else's standards. My problem with this is that it takes a step forward in diversity but ultimately it is still objectifying women as sexual objects. It still looking at things through the "male" gaze of what or what is not attractive.
Load More Replies...I guess my idea of curvy is different. I'm curvy myself, but women in these pictures are just fat, like 5 pounds away from being obese.
i can't say i agree. your idea of curvy must be different. there are real women in this world who have body types like this but are healthy (then again- it could be unhealthy, but if it's natural and healthy there is nothing wrong with it). my friend is somewhat this size but i know her diet, she's healthy, not obese.
Load More Replies...I love it, but again, they're all the same shape. It would be more interesting to see them different types of bodies, instead of just one.
They're drawn in a "pin up" style, as in like what used to be drawn in the 50s (ultra curvy, overweight women with hourglass bodies). They're MEANT to be the same shape as it was the shape used in pin up styled pictures.
Load More Replies...These "curves" do not exist. Women do not have super tiny waists and enormous thighs and luscious boobs. We have bellys and cellulite also. Also not all chuby girls have hourglass body types, most of us are apples shaped or bulky...
Skinny shaming has to stop! And fat shaming! I'm skinny and this annoys me p:
As a former state level swimmer, I disagree with Ariel being this curvy. It's simply not "realistic" for someone who swims all day to be that big, no offence to anyone
I like them but why do they all have those thick lips? (like the get bigger and fuller if you gain weight)
Yeah, let's glamourize obesity! Fifty years ago, being skinny was reality because back then there weren't any HFCS's in food. Now? Fatties.
They aren't that fat though. It primarily has to do with body type and metabolism. A friend of my mom works out every day but is still curvy
Load More Replies...Every one of these renderings makes Disney princesses even less distinguishable than they already are. lol
Beautiful art work, phenomenal artistic ability! I really liked the attention to detail in each piece and the particular style of art. ❤️
Soooooooo sexist. Not all women wear crop tops and have giant hips and breasts. This article is too offensive. we're not all super sexy.:((((((((
Shouldn't this be called "Morbidly Obese Disney Pinups"? Not inspiring, not healthy, and Tinkerbell (one word, actually) needs the roller skates because there's no way she's getting off the ground with those thighs.
