Got sent to work at a furniture store as a loader with the British Heart Foundation by the DWP. I have DCM and LBBB. The Manager took one look at me when I staggered through the door (yes it's that bad) and asked if I was OK. I told him my conditions, and he got me look at the security camera and sign and date a piece of letter headed paper and got me a drink of water. 'Sacked' me on the spot and said "Go home and get some rest when you're ready. I will call the DWP and have a word with them. If they try to say you failed to attend then get in touch and let me know. I will send them the video and a copy of the paper you signed" He gave me his card and shortly after I heard him in the back office tearing the DWP a new one over the phone about being heartless murdering pricks. That's the cleanest sentence he said. Didn't even make it to clock in. Total time in the job, 3 minutes!

No, it's real. The man donated his mother's body to an institution for medical research on Alzheimer's. The institution had a surplus of bodies, so they sold it to the army for $6000. The army used the body for a 'blast test' to study what happens to humans in cars hit by IED's. I don’t know if that’s worse than rotting in a box whilst buried underground or being burned until you’re just a skeleton and then your bones are crushed to little grains in a machine. But profiting from his mums remains by faking an intention to conduct research into Alzheimer’s is absolutely not ok.
For the woman, it's probably not an issue how her remains end up. But that man wanted his dead mother to be helpful for research. technically, it was, but you get my meaning. It's different if you imagine your mother being gently autopsied and her brain used to study a devastating disease and QUITE another to imagining her getting blown to pieces. Caitlin from Ask a Mortician on YT has some good information on this sort of thing. You really have no power over the remains once they are donated or 'offered' to an institution. Some med schools will offer to cremate the remains and return them to the family in the UK, after the term, but they wouldn't have to. I had one woman complaining that she thought her aunt was misdiagnosed and wanted the medical students to find her actual cause of death and send her a report of what they find. Not how it works.

No, you guys don't get it... The dad is Richy Hardy (older dude posting from his account). He is saying happy brithday to his daughter and son, who are twins, and it's signed from him (dad) and his wife (mom). He just did not add any punctuation, that's why it's confusing. So the two people in the picture are siblings, not married to one another. It should be like "Happy birthday ! from Mom and Dad (heart heart to show love)."
