My aunt has lived with Crohns for nearly 50 years. She has a colostomy bag and has as long as I can remember. My mom was recently diagnosed with it as well. Apparently it is very likely if one sibling has it the other will too. My mom already has waaaay over $12,000 in hospital bills but we do live in the US
My husband had Crohn's. He ended up with 2 bowel resections, the bag twice and died after the last surgery. He was in so much pain from surgeries that I came home for lunch one day and found him dead in the kitchen. He'd just had his 4th surgery and a new bag. He had a Fentanyl patch in his mouth which they found during the autopsy which was performed as he died alone and unattended. I miss him, he wasn't supposed to die.
My mom has it it can kill you it nearly killed her so don't mess with it
My brother and father both suffered from Chron's. I am glad you are making people more aware of the disease. And keeping your sense of humor through it all!:)
