So while they had 882k members in late August 2020, now, in early July 2021, they’re boasting a whopping million redditors who have joined their community. Odds are, this trend will continue.
The online group, founded in 2013, also celebrated its 8th year of operating on Reddit in mid-spring.

According to the subreddit’s mods, r/sadcringe is “a place for awkward or embarrassing situations that also make you feel sad.” They also note that the ‘sad’ part is all about how we feel when we see a particular post, not about “calling someone out” for being sad. In other words, the focus is on how you feel, dear Pandas.
Previously, moderator Niceboihappy shared with Bored Panda that the number of followers the subreddit had rose since the start of the Covid pandemic. However, the moderator also noted that the community was growing in size and how close-knit it was either way.

That's I was thinking. There is so much social pressure that a decent girl has to 'give a man a chance' even if she knows full well she doesn't fancy him, plus men that find the girl isn't interested can often 'strike back' by at the very least making a nasty comment. I don't get that behaviour. In Germany we will tell you directly what we think and like. "Do you like my new hairstyle?" - "It's ok but I liked it better before" / "Do you want to go out with me?" - "Sorry, no, I don't want to date right now"
Really, in ALL of Germany? Because I for sure can see myself trying to get out of a date without letting the guy know that it's really because you don't like him. I mean, consider this: you like the guy in a distant way and find him nice, but really not attractive at all. Then he asks you out and you see the hope in his eyes and the fear and you can't bring yourself to say "No, sorry, I don't like you like that" because you might know how that feels on a personal level. So you don't want to say No and you say Yes. He's happy as hell and you feel even worse because now you gave him HOPE when that wasn't what you wanted! So you think and you think and can't bring yourself to call and cancel, so you post to your friends that please, someone rescue you and give you more time! And probably, she would never outright say that she doesn't like him, hoping that he'll get the hint anyway. And she might never intend to hurt him, might feel terrible later in life when she thinks about it, even.

In junior high, our class was getting paired up as the teacher called out names. The most ''popular" boy in my grade's name got called out and got my name attached to it. Soon as it got paired up, the WHOLE CLASS (including my so called bff and her group of friends) went "OHHHHH NOOOO!!!" Made me feel sooo bad!
Some of these, I highly question whether the person posting was bullied or if they were themselves, THE bully.
