Life can’t be constantly full of sunshine, daisies, rainbows, and cute cat pics. Life’s a very broad and varied thing and you can’t avoid a certain amount of sadness, pain, and awkward moments that later make you want to go live as a hermit in the woods.
The ‘Sad Cringe’ subreddit documents these exact moments. Moments that stay with you longer than your average meme because they’re all happy-go-lucky. They show the vulnerable (yet still at times funny) moments that we’ve all found ourselves in, one way or another.
Have a look through some of the saddest and most cringe moments below, upvote the ones that really made you pause for a bit, and once you’re done, check out our first article about r/sadcringe and the things that make you cringe until you get sad right here, dear Pandas.

What's the deal with liking someone's pic from a while ago? It could just mean they're nostalgic, not a stalker.
Since our last article about the ‘Sad Cringe’ subreddit, their community had continued to grow by leaps and bounds. So while they had 882k members in late August 2020, now, in early July 2021, they’re boasting a whopping million redditors who have joined their community. Odds are, this trend will continue.
The online group, founded in 2013, also celebrated its 8th year of operating on Reddit in mid-spring.

You guys make 20 year plans? You guys plan an event and put it in your calendar 5 years in advance? Like ..... how you do that? I have no idea what I am going to do tomorrow, I wouldn;t dream planing something 5 years from now.
Sheesh
According to the subreddit’s mods, r/sadcringe is “a place for awkward or embarrassing situations that also make you feel sad.” They also note that the ‘sad’ part is all about how we feel when we see a particular post, not about “calling someone out” for being sad. In other words, the focus is on how you feel, dear Pandas.
Previously, moderator Niceboihappy shared with Bored Panda that the number of followers the subreddit had rose since the start of the Covid pandemic. However, the moderator also noted that the community was growing in size and how close-knit it was either way.

One of my more toxic ex's asked me if I felt something for her. I told her I felt like I had dodged a bullet
According to mod Niceboyhappy, if we ever got an unexpected response, similar to the ones featured on the subreddit, we ought to be “confident, but not too confident.” According to them, “for an unexpected response, it is probably best to just own it and make light of it.”

People have a hard time understanding that a gift should not come with obligations. I do t have an obligation to keep what people give me, if I don't like it, or if I don't have the space for it. I can appreciate the gesture even if I don't like, want, or need the gift.

this once happened to me... there was one particular aunt who was pissing me off, like asking me to change my DP and stuff, so i took a screen shot, and instead of sharing it to one of my cousins i am really close with, shared it to the annoying aunt with the caption : can this annoying person keep her opinions to herself... to make the matter worse, her number was saved as annoying aunt. i dont think she commented on anything else in the family group 👽👽👽

It's easy to condemn someone whose inside voice is uttered out loud. Plenty of people harbour thoughts they keep secret. While I may not agree or align with some values about superficial looks, I enjoy people sharing their ideas and fears, for many good and some selfish reasons. There. I admitted a dark thing too.
The way she says these things does indicate a lot. She 'sacrificed looks for stability and love', which indicates that she settled for someone who she thinks isn't going to leave her, because he can't get anyone more attractive than her. Maybe I'm biased because I know someone who did exactly that, but that's how it sounds to me.

"We can use donor sperm to decrease the odds of an ugly kid and should probably use a donor egg to decrease the odds of a stupid one."
If she truly loved her "medium ugly" hubby this thought would never of crossed her mind. Vanity rules this woman. *SMH*
I think she’s concerned about her child getting bullied. It sounds like her husband’s looks didn’t matter to her until she started thinking about what the consequences might be for their child. She’s got some serious issues to process, but I don’t think she doesn’t love her husband.
Load More Replies...Wow. Just wow. How do you write that down and not go 'I'm a horrible person'.
WTF, don't think she should have children if that's all she thinks about. I would be worried that her kids will grow up with an ugly heart like their mum.
YES, we are all terribly worried, that you will be reproducing. Please don't.
Kids get half their genetic make up from each parent. If someone is worried about having ugly kids, they first need to look at their own parents and grandparents. Then worry about the father's looks.
if you EVER feel ugly about yourself... just think... maybe your just not your type
All these folks saying is shallow to think about looks, let me tell you something. Forensic psychologists have found that unattractive people are declared guilty more often than their attractive peers for the same crime. Attractive people are thought of being more intelligent, honest, and kind. Google "Halo effect" and you'll find plenty of sources talking about this specific issue. Ugly children tend to be ignored by their carers more often that pretty kids. Go to tiktok and look for "pretty privilege". It's not the mum who's shallow (she married an ugly man because she loved him, that's exactly the opposite of shallow). It is the human kind who pays a lot of attention to looks because that's the only information you have immediately: if someone is good looking or not. Making an immediate decision about someone without informing yourself is shallowing reasoning. Don't turn into what you criticise.
But she said she sacrificed looks for 1. stability 2. and love. Sounds like she just went after his money. They always mean money when they say stability.
Load More Replies...To be honest I was always mildly angry at my mom for picking my dad... He is a super great guy but has Italian heritage and I've had a mustache since I was like 8 (I'm female) and got picked on so hard.
I can relate. I got my dad’s nose. I got bullied for it growing up to where I absolutely hated how I looked. Kids can be pretty cruel.
Load More Replies...Why is everyone so mad about this? Some people just aren't physically attractive. She clearly still loves her husband and still wants to be with him
You do not love your husband if you're worried the baby will look like him.
There's no guarantee. Both my parents were good looking. I'm not. I look like my grandpa. Not a good look for a woman.
Look at drop dead gorgeous people. Look at their parents. Amazingly common and nondescript in most cases. I knew 4 gorgeous platinum blonde girls growing up, their parents are frumpy and dumpy. Other gorgeous people have average kids. Ya never know.
What is it with wife's secretly seeking sperm donors? How the hell are they gonna get inseminated and keep their husband out of it!?.
Well... the good news is that if your baby is ugly, he's only 1/2 to blame.
These are sick people. You never know what the child is going to really look like before they are born. They may be cute as children but turn as they grow. A lot of very attractive people have children that are not so, and great many who some may consider to be no so good looking have drop dead gorgeous offspring. Petty.
Ever think you might actually like your "good man's" baby better than an egocentric kid?
On the other hand, if she uses a sperm donor, her kids won't have her husband's kind and loving nature. They'll take after some other guy. How would that be?
Look at it this way, maybe the child will get his kindness and love! That certainly won't be coming from you!
how shallow can a woman get? my husband hopes our kids get my body type bc hes a bit on the chubby side while ive got an athletic body type. i told him i hope our sons r as handsome as he is. i dont care about body type they will b handsome like my husband and any daughters will b pretty bc i kno his good looks genes will b in them. (i dont think im pretty but my husband says im goregous. acne doesnt make me feel goregius but watever). this woman is just so shallow. whats she gonna do? dump the kid if its not good looking like seriously her kind of thinking is wrong and shallow.
I’ll be sure to remember this when I read an article about “sexist micro aggressions women deal with”
I get that this is shallow. But as a woman who looks like her dad. Looks matter. Your life is easier if you're easier on the eyes. So while the rest of her statement makes it clear that she is purely shallow, fearing for your childs future seems relevant.
So wrong. Makes me so sad that she feels she sacrificed something to be with him. So she is kind of superficial, chose love, but still regrets it....

This is standard behavior for musicians. They can't open it without risking being sued at some point in the future if any element of a song they write is similar to something on one of these cds that people send them. So they have to return them unopened, and document that they did so.

In junior high, our class was getting paired up as the teacher called out names. The most ''popular" boy in my grade's name got called out and got my name attached to it. Soon as it got paired up, the WHOLE CLASS (including my so called bff and her group of friends) went "OHHHHH NOOOO!!!" Made me feel sooo bad!
Some of these, I highly question whether the person posting was bullied or if they were themselves, THE bully.
