21 Y.O. Reveals How She Caught Her 73 Y.O. Stalker Neighbor, Shares Details Of The Story In Her Viral TikTok Video

Wherever you decide to live, there is a huge chance that you’ll end up having a neighbor. And experience shows that there are all kinds of neighbors: those who say “hello” every morning and are genuinely friendly and the ones who make you want to move out as soon as possible. It seems that there is also a third “category” of neighbors. The ones that you might never actually see or meet. And this sure sounds great for those who don’t really want to get involved in any neighborhood drama. But what if one day you find out that your quiet neighbor is actually stalking you?

TikTok user @seejoyy decided to share her first New York apartment story and why she had to move out from there. The video that now has 1.2M views tells a story of how she found out that her neighbor was actually stalking her.

More Info: TikTok

This young woman living in NYC decided to share her experience of confronting her 73-year-old neighbor who was stalking her

@seejoy, whose real name is Catherine, as she later reveals in her video, started her story by stating that she has to share her story just to make sure that she understands how real it is. She was living in an apartment, located in Brooklyn, for 3 years. In a later video, she showed the condition of the apartment and that she was going to move out from it anyway. And it seems that stalker neighbor made things move faster.

Catherine revealed that she has been living in her first NYC apartment for 3 years now

Catherine starts her story by telling that she had a few noise complaints from her old, 73-year-old neighbor who she’d never actually met. After this, she received a note from him, but she didn’t think much of it as she thought it was funny and this was the way how this old man decided to express his anger. The note stated: “Dear Catherine, word’s getting around that you’re a floozy who can’t keep it in their pants.” What she was aware of is that he addressed her by her actual name, not by the one she was called on a daily basis.

The story reached its peak when she found him standing in her apartment while she was sleeping. Catherine woke up immediately and told the man to leave. After this, she called her parents and the police. When the police came, they at first had trouble with getting into his apartment. But according to the TikToker, they finally arrested him.

The young woman was taken back to her parents’ home, where she found out that her creepy neighbor was actually sending her multiple notes, similar to the one she got after noise complaints. These messages sent directly to her previous house in Long Island made her speculate that he might have been coming to her apartment while she was gone or when she was sleeping and going through her personal belongings.

In her following video, she shared that now she is safe and ready to move out of her apartment. What do you think about this situation? Leave your thoughts in the comments down below!

I didn't know at the time but figured out my old land lord oils go into my ex bf apt when we weren't there. I'd noticed a few things moved around. But figured my kitten at the time was playing around. But one day I decided to change out our locks because my ex bf lost a key. So I'd get two new ones w a new handset. I left the deadbolt because we locked that at night Well one day at like 11am I'm home an can see the stairs up to our place. I see him walking up them. I'm in my night clothes playing on the computer. I turn the sound off an it's dark so he can't see in an me inside as he passes up to the door. I hear him put his key in an start forcing on the door. Like he thinks it's stuck. He tries the deadbolt which I had locked an can unlock that. Now I'm scared he will break the door in. To get in? For what? Finally he relooks the deadbolt an leaves. I can see him trying to look in the window. He left. My kitten meanwhile was at my feet trembling. He must have hurt her

Some guy sneaking into my bedroom while I'm asleep is my worst nightmare. Literally - when I'm stressed out or running a temperature, that's my recurring night terror. Sometimes he's just standing there, but if it's a REALLY bad dream he violently rips the covers off me, and it feels so real. It's horrible. :(

In some countries, the doorknob does not have a spring, so when you turn it to open the door, the little knobby thing that normally in canada and the US comes back out to slide into the wall when you close the door, does not. So for whatever reason they just use the deadbolt. You see it a lot in movies, too. It's strange, but eh! Shows some of the difference between parts of the world.

I was stalked by an old man once and he sent notes to my dad in another city!! Telling him I do drugs and smoke cigarettes. I knew who it was when I saw the hand writing because he wrote like a child and this note was the same writing. I don’t know how he got my dads address I never lived in that house. I was a beer girl at a golf course and he would drive around the golf course and wait on side street til I drove by then he would move to the next place he could see me. He would stand next to his car sometimes and wave as I went by. Creepy as hell! Funny how they send notes to parents

She wakes up to find a man who has broken into her apartment and she screams then calls her parents first, not the police? She and her parents receive creepy postcards and none of them thinks it worth mentioning to each other or the police? If this story is true (and not made up and posted for 'Likes") I hope the criminal is in prison and is named and shamed in the media so his friends, family and future neighbours are aware of his tendencies.

tbf, if I receive random postcards dissing my daughter who is living cities away, I would have suspected AH relatives first rather than *what if* she has a weird stalker neighbour who somehow found my address? I wouldnt bother telling her cause its silly and not worth starting a witch hunt among family.

It could be as simple as him having a key. If he was friends with the old tenant, they may have given him one. Landlords should change locks between tenants but they don't always bother.

Terrified! I too think the parents should have told her about the mail they received. How did this character get the parents address he must have been entering the poor girls apartment when she wasn't home. Apartment living is so dangerous, you don't know what kind of people are your neighbors. I would assume this fellow has a criminal past, just by his cunning ways it would be interesting to know the final outcome of this brave girls situation.

And further, yes anyone can use a knife or some other weapon to hurt another person. But being that he is old, he's probably not as likely to be physical, as he would have been in youth or middle age. He would also more likely to be caught. He was after all dumb enough to write postcards to her parents, left fingerprints all around her home etc. I'm done with this subject and don't appreciate anyone making nasty comments to me. I said what I said.

All I can say is whoa. If that old creature wasn't 73 he would have hurt her. People make me laugh when they think because someone is elderly they are harmless. I'm very happy she is safe. The new neighbor that was moving in should leave if she's able to.

You should have purchased a firearm. Taken classes on using it safely and practiced at a rifle/gun range. Especially if you live in New York. God help anyone stupid enough to enter my home when I am there because it's the last thing they will remember doing. He deserved a bullet in the head.

Is it easy for you to kill people? Years back, I got a fright from someone following me. I could have seen myself threatening him with a gun, just so he could feel the same fear I did. That fantasy never ended with killing. These days, I'd be much happier having stalkers taken off the streets.

Lot of people seem to think you solve this issue with a firearm. In Brooklyn? Not likely.

There are people in this world who, though older, are still very dangerous. Do not mistake old for decrepit. Do not mistake old for charming.

What the hell does "I use the lock as a doorknob" mean? How was he getting into her apartment?

There was no social media when my ex stalked me and left weird s**t in my car in the 90s. Just my friend strongly urging him to move along.

The scariest thing is that people like this guy usually escalate in their actions; stalking to rape to murder.

I know some pretty strong 72 year olds. Don't discount someone's age these days.

Wait, so she had a strange guy literally standing in her apartment while she was sleeping, and her first instinct is to call her parents? WTF? And her parents never told her that she's got a creepy neighbor watching her and sending postcards with her dating activity?

I hate to break it to people but it's super easy to get people's addresses without breaking into someone's apartment. Ancestry.com is one way

All I can say is whoa. If that old creature wasn't 73 he would have hurt her. People make me laugh when they think because someone is elderly they are harmless. I'm very happy she is safe. The new neighbor that was moving in should leave if she's able to.

So he's older than you and you don't think he can hurt you? How stupid are you? All he would have had to do is pick up a kitchen knife while she was sleeping.

Which will do what exactly? If he is standing in her apartment while she is asleep, he would grab the gun first. You do know that guns don't shoot automatically at intruders while you're asleep, right?

You should have purchased a firearm. Taken classes on using it safely and practiced at a rifle/gun range. Especially if you live in New York. God help anyone stupid enough to enter my home when I am there because it's the last thing they will remember doing. He deserved a bullet in the head.

Is it easy for you to kill people? Years back, I got a fright from someone following me. I could have seen myself threatening him with a gun, just so he could feel the same fear I did. That fantasy never ended with killing. These days, I'd be much happier having stalkers taken off the streets.
