So how to create that elusive atmosphere? With thanks to culinary blog Restaurant Tallent, here are some basic concepts to keep in mind:
Restaurant concepts: The restaurants with concepts attract people. If you have a particular cuisine, then you can design the restaurant with the idea of that country or culture. For example, if the restaurant is Chinese then you can create the restaurant with things that will make the customers feel like they are in China. You can also add a story on how the restaurant was founded and place artwork and pictures of the history of the restaurants.
Cleanliness: Who would prefer anything which is not clean? People can get very cautious when they eat out. If your restaurant is not clean, then there are chances you may never see that customer again. Make sure to change the linen and have clean dishes.

I should take my dad with dementia since he always forgets what he ordered by the time it comes anyway. And half the time he doesn't know what he is eating. Yesterday he had "the best hamburger [he's] ever had in his life!" It was a fried chicken sandwich with bacon.
I know I shouldn't laugh at that, but that is adorable. At least he enjoyed it!

Don't mean to be a downer, but ...I guess if a person has a food allergy, they just wouldn't go there to eat. Could cost them their life!

As the granddaughter of a grandpa who slipped away from Alzheimers and a grandma who gave the end of her life caring for him, I would hope that the staff are supported and treated humanely and not humiliated or teased for their illness. Dementia and Alzheimers are not a joke when you've watched someone you love go through this.
This is adorable, ppl from the States wouldn't have a good enough sense of humor to have this type of restaurant, plus Corporate America sucks balls and has no empathy for ppl with decline mental states such as dementia.

i would go there ... dementia sucks ... my dad had it now my older sister is showing signs and it just takes the one you love away but slowly .
Pretty cool... I see in the future that many more will have to work till they perish with disabilities to survive... We all need to find our happy place and calm down and enjoy and respect others
Love it. No allergies and not a picky eater I always game for some kind of meal. Unless it’s a bowl of black licorice and olives.
This is a great idea but how do they get around allergies/ intolerances? I'm very allergic to milk (and also vegan so don't usually have to worry obviously) but would be very afraid eating here because of being so worried about being given milk and also uneasy about it not being vegan, which is a shame as otherwise if I saw this I would eat there and support them.
Valid question, if someone has allergies then they simply just shouldn't eat at this restaurant for safety reasons as unfortunate as it is to miss out on the experience (I'm allergic to peanuts and tree nuts so that's my take on it)

This is a way to give people who have lost their dignity because they lost their memory a second chance. Growing older shouldn't make you feel embarrassed.
They are probably doing more than they think. Giving the brain something stimulating to do slows the rate of dementia, I think? Good on them for doing this.
You shouldn't eat there if you have severe allergies, but apart from that, it's brilliant

Menu Design: Many may not think much about the menu card, but the menu card can attract and define the ambiance of the restaurant. Take time to create the menu card in such a way that each meal has a description of what the meal is. You can also add pictures so that the customers will know better about the food they are ordering.
Dishes, silver ware, and linens: Choose your dishes and silverware in such a way that it matches with your restaurant. Always have clean washed linens and make sure that in any situation you do not serve your customers with dirty dishes.
Pretty basic stuff, but very important nonetheless! All that's left to do now is add your own personal touch!

I saw a sign in front of a bar on 5th Ave in NYC. It said, "When you think about it, alcohol is a solution."
As sad as it is, a great number of people have no respect for Donald Trump, he is possibly the worst example of a president in history, many of us remain stunned, that he was elected, I am Canadian, but unfortunately, here we also have people in power, that should not be, it's in the news for all to see !!!
These were very interesting, fun to read of the creativity, Please help me to understand,the big need to use PROFANITY, I do use at times, but do think it's ugly for women to use, I am sure there are some words in the dictionary, that could get your message across, too many young kids with a foul mouth,I don't blame them as they hear it everywhere, at home and the streets, sorry, I don't see the need, just my opinion !!!
