We all know the sweet taste of successful cheating. No, not on your partner, but on the test that you did not prepare for simply because of who you are as a human being. As students are getting more and more cunning with their cheating skills, some teachers feel the need to take its prevention to the next level as well. For some, these examples may seem a little bit extreme, however, we can all probably agree that the majority of these efforts look hilarious. Scroll down below to see the full list and don't forget to leave votes for the ones that you like the most. In addition to this, feel free to share in the comments whether you have worn an anti-cheating hat yourself or maybe experienced other cheating deterrents first-hand while in school.

In one survey, over 70,000 high school students at over 24 US schools were questioned. 95% of them said they participated in some form of cheating and 58% admitted to plagiarism.

Are these children with extreme long sight? How could they see what another has written when that far apart anyway?

Seriously? You never cheated off someone this far away before? It's super easy if the test is multiple choice since you only need to see the positioning.

Am I the only one who likes this? Seems like it would be a pretty cool way to take a test. No distraction, it feels super private.....I like it.

This one is just completely out of proportion and actually preventing kids from writing properly. That teacher is insane.

This looks like it could be a scene from some techno/synth music video where all the kids are gonna kind of robotically stand up and start dancing in unison 😮

If I remember correctly this teacher got in trouble and the school apologized. But, speaking as a teacher, I felt sorry for him/her. I personally wouldn't do this with my kiddos BUT I understand the desperation (pressure from administrators, the class may have issues with cheating, etc).

I don't know, given the way they are sitting, far from each other, no bags nearby, and no desks, I think those boxes actually become a CHEATING AID for those interested in cheating. Without boxes, these kids would be completely uncovered, but these boxes are hiding their faces from the teacher. I see lots of possibilities here.

That’s hysterical! There must’ve been quite a cheating problem to go to the lengths of donning cardboard boxes on their heads.

Stripping down to underwear

Stripping down to underwear

Indian army candidates were asked to remove their clothing to deter cheating during a recruitment day.

One study shows that some students might cheat because they have poor studying skills and are having a hard time keeping up with the material. However, some people are found to be more likely to cheat if the assessment is very high-stakes. "It creates significant pressure on students because there is so much riding on it and any little mistake can greatly affect their grade," researchers say.

Motivational theories predict that when a person perceives a low probability of success for a certain task, chances are they won't invest much effort into it. However, if the task is perceived as high-stakes and they must succeed at it at all costs, students are more likely to turn to cheating than studying.

Researchers suggest that if low-stakes assessments are combined with constructive feedback on a student's strengths as well as specific suggestions for improvement, this will help the student build confidence for later high-stake assessments, this way reducing the likelihood of cheating.
