It definitely is entitlement. Charity is a great and noble thing, but people shouldn't beg for it, or try to create a sense of guilt in those who choose to invest in personal things.

Not fair at all. She/he can be bitter towards the pandemic, the rich or the politicians. But this man just rented something with his money.

While helping others is a noble thing, one shouldn't dictate how does another spend his money. The real nobility is when you DECIDE to donate, not when you are forced to.

Its his money to waste. It sounds like this is bitterness that EB cant reach into others pockets and take what they want.

Thing is, you can do what you want with your own money.

Why do you assume that it was vast amounts of money? They probably already had all the movies at home. The rest of the furnishings can be acquired second hand without spending too much money. Some of them you could probably find for free or next to nothing.

So because this guy works his ass off to the point where he has money to do this means its unfair for someone else? No! The 2 are not related in any way.

It’s entitlement by definition. Someone has something but he/she wanted it for their own reasons because they feel entitled to it.

It kinda is entitlement, but I see what you are saying. Life is unfair, and yes some people could benefit from that money. But that money belongs to nobody else. He clearly had the money to throw around, and it paid off. He was more fortunate yes, and should consider giving some profit to charities and such but it's still his money and he can do what he chooses with it.

Completely agree. There's a guy on YT building a luxury mansion for his hedgehog. Yes, it's his money and he has a right to do what he wants with it. It's not unfair that he has the money; it's unfair that other people have to struggle at the same time.

But a lot of Americans consider this entitlement because "You are in no position to criticize someone for wasting his own money on useless stuff, when you're even too poor to pay your rent. I asked my pastor and he said I was absolutely right."

The guy didn't "spend vast amounts of money" The money he spent almost certainly couldn't have kept ANYONE in their home for more than a couple of days. He just had a fun project, like so many other people did during lockdowns all over the world. Also, he could be giving money to charities that support poor people, hand over fist.

Isn't entitlement? Seems to me it's the very definition of entitlement. She believes that because someone has more than she does, she (and others like her) should be entitled to the money he is "wasting."
