My family is bizarre. My brothers are my brothers even though we share no consanguinity. I grew up withbthek, on many occasions I shared bedrooms with them. I probably lived with their parents more than I lived with my own. My mom gave me their last name when I was born. My mom and their mom were best friends. An example is the fact that TWO of my husband's (yeah married more than once) were actually my COUSINS. We were not adopted, grew up in different areas of the country, but when ancestry research was done (we all did it!) it turned out that I was biologically related to BOTH of them. We just laugh about it. But I do consider my former bil in one instance as my brother, and after my divorce from his brother,(the actual ex husband) we dated for some time as well, including sex, etc. I did get pregnant by him, but had a miscarriage. Actually most courts are lenient in cases like this. It's because of the psychological damage. Imagine you find out your spouse of 50 years is your full sibling, but you met as strangers and fell in love. It's more complicated than black and white and the courts of the world know that
And how is the law supposed to know about this? Legally they are not siblings. This is between them, unless they tell someone.
If the law must be enforced no matter what, then the adoptive parents and adopted children must also be disclosed of full information about the bio parents, their siblings, and everyone's adoptive families name and full contact info. But oh, that also "invades privacy"? Head I win, tail you lose indeed.
Of course there js something wrong with it, but they didn't do it on purpose and they Don't have children. We know our society is ruthless, best to keep it secret.

What comes to mind first when I think of sicko families is the trumps. It has more to do with their money and their attitude than their bloodline.
That being said, Trump's kids never went without, but he still made the older ones work their butts off and prove they deserve what they got. Nothing was just "handed to them because daddy is rich". In fact they didn't even know he was as wealthy as he was. They thought they were just "comfortable". So props to the man for making his kids know the value of money.
