And she’s not the only one. In fact, corgis are known as internet-famous dogs, with numerous corgifluencers on social media. So when one Twitter user who goes by the handle @soapachu started a thread on corgis, you could have suspected it would go viral. Especially when @soapachu pointed out something so obvious, it’s crazy how we haven’t seen this before.
“Your regular reminder that a corgi crossed with any other breed just ends up looking like a corgi disguised as the other dog,” said the caption of the tweet, which amassed 256.9k likes and 42.2k retweets.

If you've ever wondered how on earth corgis became the most adored dogs on the internet, you should step back and take a very good look at them. The universal popularity of corgis has partly to do with their appearance: chunky bod, long tongue, stumpy legs, and permanently smiling face.

No wonder social media is currently ruled by corgi accounts where people are sharing pics of their fluffy friends daily. Rachel, a founder of the UKDogsofInsta page on Instagram, believes that corgis' popularity on the internet has fueled the breed’s renaissance in real life.
“People are hugely influenced by what they see online and it is no surprise that some of the dogs that are most popular on Instagram are impacting on the popularity of dog breeds in real life.”
“This is great news for the Pembroke Welsh corgi, which is a breed that has long been struggling to get noticed in the UK,” Rachel told the press.
I think there would be logistical problems with the pregnancy if the corgi was the mother. In cases where there is one dog much bigger, that one is pretty much always the mother.

My husband's former boss had a yorkie and a great Dane and they ended up having a litter. I can't remember which was the female and I never got to see the puppies but I really really wanted one. That may be why my husband kept "forgetting" to bring me pictures lol.
How about not breeding new special breeds and focus on getting animals in shelters in loving homes...? (Not trying to say they're not cute, just...)
You're asking for a lot. Many people just pick their dogs based on their looks, just like they would shop for a new couch. Poor little doggie can't breathe properly? Who cares, it's the latest trend! Sure they're kinda cute... but they were created purely for entertainment purposes.

Why is this surprising? Everything crossed with a pit bull looks like a pit bull.
I used to travel to work on a scooter which you could go as fast as 50mph downhill. Every morning a corgi-cross would wait round the corner to chase me and the scooter. Chased me to the main road. Kept up with me, all the way, down the hill, every day. Which proves corgis’ can’t half shift.
We had a K/Jack Russell mix and he was perfect morph. Taller than K but sturdier than JR. And waaaay too smart! Miss him so much.
Actually, to me it's just sad! Why are people doing that? If it's accidental, watch your dog. They may be cute, but it's still sad!

SO SO SO grateful someone compiled this thread of Corgi-ish dogs!!! LOVED it!
NOT a very good idea, Bored Panda. Show "cute" pictures of cross-breeds and people say "how cute, I want one" - and so unscrupulous breeders will deliberately cross breed pure-bred dogs for these people, without giving a thought to what the puppies might inherit from either dam or sire. And in the meantime the shelters and rescue centres are full of unwanted dogs and puppies. My last four dogs have all been rescued unwanted puppies - the last one being only three-weeks old and unweaned. The rest of the litter were disposed of because nobody would take them.
