When we talk about Instagram followers, we don't mean it in the literal sense. Well, not usually anyway. But as Instagram-famous travel photographers Jack Morris and Lauren Bullen have recently discovered, two of their collective 2 million plus followers are quite literally chasing them around the world and recreating their poses wherever they go.

Not only do this mysterious couple pose in the same locations as Jack and Lauren; they also copy their composition, their clothing, and sometimes even their captions! It's one thing to be inspired, but these guys are taking it to a whole new level. "Having a large instagram following does come with some interesting experiences," wrote Lauren in an article on her blog recently. "But this has been by far the most odd one yet."

They should know that Greece is not the home of pizza and ice cream. Just saying.

I don't understand the appeal of self-induced wedgies. Beautiful setting, though.

Anybody who thinks they are actually traveling together and "having us on," look at the shrubs next to the palm tree. Totally different season!

Wow, it must be quite sad to have the money to travel and copy someone else to this extent, but not have the brains to do your own thing. Shame.

But doing that is "their thing" - it is a total conceptual art project!

Love how this post proves that even in a near identical situation, the photographer definitely makes a difference.

It looks to me like the photographs have been taken by the same photographer at the same time. This has the look of a hoax. The light levels in each picture are pretty similar and you only get that if you take the pictures at the same time. It's a couple of couples travelling together and staging the images.

Have you heard of the "script machine"? It's a powerful computer system the wealthy use to run "scripted lives". Some people run it without being aware, and others pay enormous prices to repeat popular scripts. It's likely there were many more couples who ran that script, but these are first two who took photographs and published them.

There might be another explanation. The copy-cats might not even have been aware they were doing that. It would be interesting to know if they denied it or not.

lol I think the copycats had an hilarious idea! However, from an artistic p.o.v. subtle differences in the camera angle & the arrangement on the picture plane make it clear that the photos copied are yet better than the copies. #14 is the best example of this.

This is really, really sick. Stalking like this is never funny - it's downright threatening. Yet another reason that there is not one photo of me online anywhere.

I love how the copy-cat has less than 100 likes for all her blatant copies! I hope they stay low.
