Only vaguely a food opinion, but, there’s no such thing as a “special occasion” food. Like, cakes are often associated with parties. But I’m a grown man and if I want cake because it’s Wednesday I’m gonna go get myself a Wednesday cake.
Breakfast is an "anytime" kind of food. It doesn't have to be restricted to 5 AM - 1030 AM. Sometimes I like bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and strawberry vanilla crepes at 8:47 PM.
Cupcakes with super thick and ornate frosting are fun to look at but rarely tasty
If they don’t have thick, genuine buttercream frosting, they are just sad muffins.
Just because you like hot food, doesn't mean you have to use the absolute hottest sauce you have.
I can handle hot, but prefer medium, where I can enjoy the heat but still actually taste my foods flavour.
I honestly don't think rice belongs inside a burrito. Get the carbs from the tortilla and any veggies. Rice is just a useless filler to make the burrito seems fuller than it really is. Also corn tortillas are superior for tacos.
Runny eggs are gross. Your favorite chef's "perfect scrambled eggs" look like vomit.
Sushi rolls shouldn’t be so big you have to take more than one bite or else they disintegrate
Just eat your sushi, rolls, maki or sashimi in an actual Japanese restaurant : taste before size. Leave the big fake ones to the western fast food chains
Sticking to the traditional authentic versions of foods is not necessarily better. It’s ok to be creative in cooking and mix things from different cuisines
Sometimes you have to modify them to suit the tastebuds of the people you’re serving them to. I don’t just mean people who weren’t raised on them, there are also people whose gastrointestinal system is somewhat delicate, and can’t take hot, spicy foods. Or wheat. Or dairy. Or…you get the picture.
Anything tastes good when you put sugar on it. People who think they like rhubarb are just kidding themselves. No one liked rhubarb. They like sugar.
Edit: rhubarb was capitalized and it doesn't deserve it.
Why are french fries not suitable for breakfast but tater tots are? I should be able to eat whatever I want for breakfast even if it’s not typically a breakfast food because it’s still mostly the same.
All food is food. Food doesn't have a schedule. Eat a curry for breakfast and cereal for dinner. The food doesn't care.
The cookie part of the Oreo is better than the stuffing part
Used to be, but I suspect they swapped out some of the better ingredients for cheaper alternatives. A lot of the snacks I remember from childhood have apparently done that. Almost every time I revisit old favorites, I find them rather tasteless in comparison to the great flavor(s) they used to have. Some even leave my mouth feeling like it’s coated with plastic from whatever they’re using as oil or “butter” now. The cheaper changes are NOT for the better.

Oreos are okay. The biscuit kind of tastes like chocolate and the stuffing is sweet, and that's about it. The chocolate flavour is unremarkable and not very prominent, and the "creme" leaves a sensation that I'm sure has to do with whatever oil they make it with. I prefer the Arnott's version of chocolate-biscuit-creme-sandwich myself.

Everything about Oreos is disgusting. Dry chalky cookie, pure sugar and shortening. Blech
My hot take? They should not be separated. They should be eaten together. If I wanted cream, I would buy a can of frosting, and if I wanted a dry cookie to dip in milk, I would buy a dry cookie to dip in milk. Also, Hydrox was the original, Oreo was created three years after Hydrox debuted as an imitation.
Filling and cream lives in harmony, neither is good without the other.
I don't understand what's so great about Oreos... I can barely eat them, as the cookie part has something in it that irritates my tongue and makes my stomach burn. I thought it might be something I am allergic to, like gluten (some friends found to be allergic to gluten in their 40's!) but I eat all kinds of cookies and bread etc that don't leave that sensation.
I don't like Oreo cookies at all. It's a total marketing gimmick with the dipping in milk and that. It's an image. There are WAY better tasting cookies out there. However, if you love 'em, then eat 'em! LOL!

Truffles are overrated. They are used on everything as a buzz word and generally don’t even need to be there to begin with.
They are usually added so sparingly, that I'm still not sure I know what a truffle tastes like. I would quite like to eat a whole one, just to find out.
Bananas do NOT go in fruit salad!

Wrong, bananas are a MUST on fruit salad, their texture os no different than grapes or kiwi, and the flavor they give its amazing.
Unless it is a very good steak, burgers are better.

Bacon is fine, but is vastly over appreciated. It’s salted meat. Chill out everyone.
Most British food is awful, like terrible, yet nobody will admit it.
EDIT: A lot of people seem to think I’m not British. I am. Whenever I eat out, it’s foreign food for this guy. Keep your Sunday dinners to yourself.

Canned fish is awesome! Not just sardines and anchovies but you can get all kinds of fish in cans, even stuff like clams and even squid! And if you prefer food without too many additives or processing, look at the back of the can, it typically says something like "ingredients: fish, salt, some sort of oil (veg or sunflower or something) and with some, the processing is so minimal the fish is just cooked in the can after sealing during the pasturization process.
Try kipper snacks, they kinda have a smokey bacon taste. Fantastic treat/snack
Kippers are amazing. Add a little butter and Mmmmm. Also, canned mackeral fillets in tomato sauce are perfect on toast. It doesn't sound good, but it is extremely good.
