Taste is subjective, and if you still doubt it, just talk to people about whether or not pineapple belongs on pizza. Straight off the bat, you will hear contradictory answers and see just how eager folks are to defend them.

Only vaguely a food opinion, but, there’s no such thing as a “special occasion” food. Like, cakes are often associated with parties. But I’m a grown man and if I want cake because it’s Wednesday I’m gonna go get myself a Wednesday cake.
Breakfast is an "anytime" kind of food. It doesn't have to be restricted to 5 AM - 1030 AM. Sometimes I like bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and strawberry vanilla crepes at 8:47 PM.
Cupcakes with super thick and ornate frosting are fun to look at but rarely tasty
If they don’t have thick, genuine buttercream frosting, they are just sad muffins.
Just because you like hot food, doesn't mean you have to use the absolute hottest sauce you have.
I can handle hot, but prefer medium, where I can enjoy the heat but still actually taste my foods flavour.
I honestly don't think rice belongs inside a burrito. Get the carbs from the tortilla and any veggies. Rice is just a useless filler to make the burrito seems fuller than it really is. Also corn tortillas are superior for tacos.
Runny eggs are gross. Your favorite chef's "perfect scrambled eggs" look like vomit.
If your vomit looks like scrambled eggs then you should see a doctor pronto. (Unless you literally just ate a huge plate of scrambled eggs).
Also, can we just stop the "put a fried egg on top of everything" fad now?
No, alot of things get better with egg on top. Preferably runny. Bam 2 things people now think are gross, but actually aren't.
Load More Replies...Yeah, I will never understand why people like runny eggs... I know everyone is like GAHH ADD A FRIED EGG... But nah man..... nah.
I like my fried eggs with a runny yolk to provide flavor all over my avocado toast.
Load More Replies...It's funny, I don't like runny scrambled eggs, yet love a runny yolk on sunny side up eggs.
I'm an adult now and I like runny yolks, but all of the white needs to be cooked. And you need toast, or potatoes to go with the yolk.
There's a huge difference between "runny" eggs and "creamy" eggs. I like to add a couple tablespoons of heavy cream to my eggs. That makes them creamy once everything is cooked, NOT runny.
i like runny eggs, just not like this. it feels like THESE are under cooked
Yup! And there’s a major difference between creamy eggs and runny eggs
I had to send my eggs benedict back twice because the eggs were under poached and looked like snot.
I disagree. So what? Who cares what I think? Well, just like everyone else here, I care what I think. What I like is soft curds with light cheese, salt, and pepper. I learned how to cook them like this at the Chateau Laurier one summer. Do you want them dry and firm? Fine. I don't. Make your eggs to suit yourself, never mind other people.
Moist is good (not all overcooked rubbery dry), but they do need to be a SOLID.
Nope. Nope. I really like the runny scrambled eggs. If done properly, they are not raw. They are not snotty. Just very, very soft. (I like to use tweezers to get rid of the snotty string thing that holds the yolk in the center of the egg. No snot in my breakfast!)
Runny eggs... Sounds like half-boiled eggs which I have been eating for the past 20 years. Definitely not for everyone but it's breakfast for me.
The only time an egg should be runny after being near heat is a soft boiled egg so you can dip in strips of bread
Yes I like my scrambled eggs to be well cooked or I refuse to eat them
if theyre made right, it's like a salty creamy sauce thats great spread on toast and it must be served immediately while still hot. it took me several tries to get it right but i can never enjoy overdone american style eggs with the same satisfaction again after perfecting the aforementioned method
Load More Replies...Oh I love runny eggs! I make mine only with (real) butter and a bit of salt on steam. SO delicious!
Some of this is timing. Your eggs will be slightly runny and you remove from heat. They will finish cooking. If you know your skillet the timing isn't hard.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!! Cook those bitches all the way through!!!
Creamy = dreamy. Hard = throw it in the yard. for me at least. Eat what you like, even if it's gross to other people.
Scrambled eggs aren't runny. They're firm but yielding, like a hack writer's breasts.
Runny eggs okay. Runny yolk, nasty. I don't like the flavor of the yolk by itself
No, yolk is tasty only when it's runny. Never liked scrambled eggs tho.
Agreed. It's supposed to be fine dining, but, blech. I like mine firm, and leave the darned chives off
Sushi rolls shouldn’t be so big you have to take more than one bite or else they disintegrate
Just eat your sushi, rolls, maki or sashimi in an actual Japanese restaurant : taste before size. Leave the big fake ones to the western fast food chains
Sticking to the traditional authentic versions of foods is not necessarily better. It’s ok to be creative in cooking and mix things from different cuisines
Sometimes you have to modify them to suit the tastebuds of the people you’re serving them to. I don’t just mean people who weren’t raised on them, there are also people whose gastrointestinal system is somewhat delicate, and can’t take hot, spicy foods. Or wheat. Or dairy. Or…you get the picture.
Anything tastes good when you put sugar on it. People who think they like rhubarb are just kidding themselves. No one liked rhubarb. They like sugar.
Edit: rhubarb was capitalized and it doesn't deserve it.
Why are french fries not suitable for breakfast but tater tots are? I should be able to eat whatever I want for breakfast even if it’s not typically a breakfast food because it’s still mostly the same.
All food is food. Food doesn't have a schedule. Eat a curry for breakfast and cereal for dinner. The food doesn't care.
The cookie part of the Oreo is better than the stuffing part
Horseradish is amazing and belongs on more than just roast beef
Mayo on fries. Never realized how controversial it was until I moved to the States
Cream cheese in sushi is f*****g gross
WHO EVEN DOES THIS GIVE ME THEIR ADDRESS AND I WILL PERSONALLY HIRE MY CAT TO ASSASSINATE THEM (free advertising moment- she works 200 buckaroonies an hour and always gets the job done)
Roasted marshmallows are only worth eating if they have been fully caught on fire first. Burnt sh’mellows hit different.
Circus Peanuts and Candy Corn are NOT food and are completely repulsive!......
Truffles are overrated. They are used on everything as a buzz word and generally don’t even need to be there to begin with.
They are usually added so sparingly, that I'm still not sure I know what a truffle tastes like. I would quite like to eat a whole one, just to find out.
Bananas do NOT go in fruit salad!
The texture does not match the rest of the fruit, and the mush ruins it
Wrong, bananas are a MUST on fruit salad, their texture os no different than grapes or kiwi, and the flavor they give its amazing.
Unless it is a very good steak, burgers are better.
too much cheese on/in food stops being enjoyable
Bacon is fine, but is vastly over appreciated. It’s salted meat. Chill out everyone.
Most British food is awful, like terrible, yet nobody will admit it.
EDIT: A lot of people seem to think I’m not British. I am. Whenever I eat out, it’s foreign food for this guy. Keep your Sunday dinners to yourself.
Not sure what kind of British food you are talking about, but I pity you
Canned fish is awesome! Not just sardines and anchovies but you can get all kinds of fish in cans, even stuff like clams and even squid! And if you prefer food without too many additives or processing, look at the back of the can, it typically says something like "ingredients: fish, salt, some sort of oil (veg or sunflower or something) and with some, the processing is so minimal the fish is just cooked in the can after sealing during the pasturization process.
Try kipper snacks, they kinda have a smokey bacon taste. Fantastic treat/snack
Kippers are amazing. Add a little butter and Mmmmm. Also, canned mackeral fillets in tomato sauce are perfect on toast. It doesn't sound good, but it is extremely good.

This is yet another post of people criticizing others for having their own opinion. We're allowed to like what we like.
What I like is pineapple on pizza, scrambled eggs with mushrooms, fresh fruit, and craft beer!
Load More Replies...My coffee-deprived brain read "samosas" as "mimosas" which seemed an odd accompaniment to curry...
Load More Replies...It's basically clickbait. And we keep clicking.
Load More Replies...Comedian Matteo Lane said it best. “Pickles are cucumbers soaking in their own píss.”
Normalise people liking what they want ffs. Who cares how people like their food?!
No one gonna mention all this beautiful cakes that's totally non-edible because of all the sugarpaste? No?
