We Recreated Albanian Communism Era Lifestyle In A Special Photo Editorial

It is supposed to be a creative and a remake of the communism, not a typical communism set of photos. There are plenty of communism pics in archives, no need to reproduce them. We wanted the editorial to be bizarre and something between two periods.

Not only there were jeans during communism times in Albania, but jeans have been everywhere a communism "landmark" and highlight. Rebels would wear jeans back then as a form to go against the regime. We haven't applied makeup in our models, it is the camera's lights effect, but anyways women used make-up back those days, though it was different from the sophisticated today make-up.

This is a project that aimed mostly to raise awareness!! It was not supposed, since the start, to sell a lot of these creations, for they are personalized, handmade and there is not an industry behind it. The fact this project got more a spiritual value rather then a financial one, should be applauded in a world where everyone is doing things for money. Some do things for the spirit.

Really gorgeous works, I wish they could be bought. That's probably for the best though as I have no money right now =P. Seriously, both the clothing and the charitable intentions of this fashion show are fantastic. Kudos to everyone who worked on the project.

Dear Arjan, I think or at least hope, I am able enough to see the difference between a critic and an aggressive and rude feedback. There are plenty, less ugly ways to give your opinion because your opinion do not scare us, I can assure that. If we put our work and face publicly we know someone might not like us or our work and that is fine. In second place, according to me, you are wrong somehow, because you are not that only person in the world that own the right to say what is wrong or right, beautiful or ugly. You are not reliable when it comes to say whether these clothes are ugly or less. You are not saying that you do not like them, you are saying that they are ugly... and in addition, you are saying it in a very rude way. If you say that the clothes are ugly, this does not have to be true. The truth here is that we tried to drive the attention toward these children and the main objective is not the fashion itself. We kept it all simple and "poor" because this is a awareness show

The relevance of deaf children drawings is that visual is a way of communication for them. As far as they do not speak, they express themselves and "talk" with their drawings. This is the link between the deaf community and the fashion collection. I'm not sure if your vulgarity is intentional or not.
