Skirts And Heels Are Not Just For Women, This Guy Proves That Perfectly (30 Pics) Interview With Author
504Kviews
Most of us believe that clothes have "genders." Our society got the idea that some things are "fitting" for a man or woman to wear, some are not. However, there are open-minded people in this world who wear whatever they want and express themselves freely, not needing to live up to any type of stereotype. Like this inspiring man. He proves that it's finally time to get rid of gender stereotypes, especially in clothing.
Mark Bryan is an American, but he currently lives in Germany and is a robotic engineer. He lives his life like every other person, except that he challenges gender stereotypes every day. He almost always wears a skirt and heels while he goes to work, to the town, and even at home. And let's just say he looks absolutely fabulous while he does.

damn, with such good looking legs, it would be pity to hide them in trousers...
How come a f*****g shirt is masculine and a skirt is “non-gender”??? Since when this bullshit???
You know, it's the way of the delicate guys. Can't deal with Reality!!!
Load More Replies...If I could have my booty popping like that I would wear this too! That color is amazing!
I know, your correct, stilettos high heels are MURDER on ones feet and entire body after several years of use.
Load More Replies...After my dad died, I found slides. Miniskirts were involved. No one else in my family knows or has seen them. It’s been so sad that he needed to hide, and that I’ve felt the need to protect him. The pictures are adorable.
As a woman that wears size 12 shoes I need to know where he is getting these amazing heels!!!
Oh, he wears size 8.5 US (41 in Europe), apparently. Hard to believe he's 6ft tall and those are size 8.5 feet, isn't it.
Load More Replies...I'm a 6'o", 190lb male, 53y/o.. I love the way I look in a cute skirt, strappy heel sandals and a fun mani/pedi. If I didn't think I look GREAT this way, I would go back to "urban masculine camouflage" (tan khaki pants, polo shirt, sneakers). Part of the reason I am passionate about my clothing preference, is because I feel that I am defying a sexist prejudice against women - the one that says "a man shouldn't wear that.. he devalues himself if he does.. because people associate that with women and girls... who are inferior to men/males". For 45 years, that assumption (unspoken, unrealized, unconsidered..) dictated my clothing choices every single day - but ehrn I actually thought about "but, WHY would a skirt be "demeaning" for me?", I realized that I had been unconsciously helping to perpetuate that sexist prejudice in society - then, my only choices became DELIBERATE support of all that, ir DEFIANCE. I chose defiance, and I haven't looked back!
The reason women tend to think it's demeaning to wear tight, short skirts and impractically high heels is because this clothing has traditionally been worn to consciously and deliberately attract the sexual attention of men, not because women are inferior! Dressing to attract sexual attention is a fairly passive behaviour, and men are traditionally more active sexually than standing around waiting to be looked at - this would be why it's not a top clothes choice for masculine men. Add to this that you cannot be physically active dressed in tight skirts and high stiletto heels. As for stereotyping, this is stereotypically worn by women in their sexual prime. If it wasn't associated with sexually powerful women, (some) men wouldn't want to wear it. There's nothing wrong with stereotypes, only with being forced into them, or excluded from them. Go for it, but don't pretend it's gender-neutral or non-sexual.
Load More Replies...Not to sound mean but like if you didn't show the face i would've thought this was a woman
Perhaps he is modest and wants to hide the nips!
Load More Replies...do you have a particular website where u order your heels? the colors are phenomenal. I'm having great difficulty locating heels in lime, hunter, kelly, and grass green. and your purple heels are WOW! email me at littlebird135@yahoo.com

You know you have bad legs when your jaw is dropped looking a GUYS leg...
KK I scrolled, beautiful shoes! But no video of you walking in them. Walking like up stairs, on a sidewalk, up an escalator, or on GRASS, walking 9am to 5pm, on a salesroom floor! Anyone can stand for photos. Must Say you did EXCELLENT
Probably does a Pilates Workout or some other girly workout for the buns & thighs - Brazilian Butt Lifter!!!!!!!!
Load More Replies...Those blue pumps are FABULOUS! I looked for some like those for years... until breaking my ankle and now heels and I are a thing of the past. :-(
Oh god forbid, a dressing choice, we’re all going to hell now, oh no
Load More Replies...Oh shut up, he likes to dress this way, leave him alone.
Load More Replies...I would say the majority of women pretty much dislike wearing heels. Yet here are men who choose to wear them! And most of them wear them quite nicely!
Gorgeous legs & a nice bum to match. The top half doesn't gel with the bottom half.
Total badass. Nice one, Mark. Another fan of the skirt and heels (same reasons).
Dude, Dem Legs!! Express yourself, good sir. I support this 100 percent.
Good bum and great legs, it would be a shame to hide them in baggy pants 🌹❤️🦋
wow he looks great in all 3 of them. If I had legs that were that nice I wouldn't want to hid them either.
Who would have thought that in Germany You'd have More Freedom than in America or even Canada--? America in particular almost has the Equivalent of the Brownshirts of the late 1930s-- So much for the land of the Free-
In America/Canada one can try to wear this get up, but one will get lots of FLACK for it!!!
Load More Replies...Respect un homme qui ose la liberté, je ne parle de sexe, je parle simplement de ses belles jambes qu'il a raison d'aimer et de montrer, il doit faire des jalouses dans la gente féminine.
Why not! I wear jeans, pants and like to wear my husband's white shirts with black dress pants with it's blazer. It's chic and stylish. Coco Channel would wear man's clothing and she looked feminine. I also like Derbies which are class and very confortable.
I'm not straight but I think I would be if this was a thing more often.
He's not the only one, I do too. I'll try and post a picture, Didn't quite work.
Just can't understand why anybody would volunteer for hair stubble and bunions. However, I see zero problems with gender neutral clothing and attire. Conservatives are boring and uptight.
10/10 for the legs, but I think 20/10 for the butt. Absolutely perfect!
This probably won't get an answer I was just wondering how the er... Crotch area is dealt with. But sure if women can wear pants you can wear a skirt.
Oh god forbid, not... A DRESSING CHOICE! He needs a woman! Get the military helicopters! Get the United States Marines! Death to the man!
Load More Replies...He said he was a robotics engineer & now it's a mechanical engineer, well, which is it? Still looks queer as Hell in that outfit! Just go get a sex change & get a wig. You look UGLY!!!!!!
Jim calm down. Why do you care? I mean it’s different; I’ll give you that. If this guy walked by me on the street I’d turn my head and I may even giggle a little ( as would most of these others probably) but at the end of the day I wouldn’t really care. He’s still a person who deserves respect and for whatever reason he likes these clothes. Why should it be so angering to you? What is it about a piece of fabric that makes you so upset? High heels STARTED OUT for men and women took them over....
Load More Replies...You sound like an awful human being!
Load More Replies...Why not, he looks absolutely gorgeous in that?
Load More Replies...Oh f**k off and let people wear what they want. Clothes are gender-neutral.
Load More Replies...May I suggest that you examine your assumptions? Why would clothing that you would accept on any female, be disgusting or "grotesque" to you when a male wears it? I presume you'd have no objection to him in "manly" clothes, and none fornthe clothes "on a female", so what is it about this combination that offends you? Is he "unworthy" because he has a penis? Or is he "demeaning" himself by associating (through clothing) with "inferior women"?
Load More Replies...You have the right to your opinion. In my opinion, he had done much thinking about why he wears what he does, and you have simply followed customs given to you.. so he seems much less likely to be "confused" than you are. If a majority of people (still) thought "Earth is flat", would you be among those saying "Columbus, Magellan et al are so confused!"?
Load More Replies...Mark told Bored Panda: "I dress like this because I can. Just to be different. I have always admired the women that wore tight skirts and heels. Not sexually, but the power they presented. I don’t dress to be sexual, but to dress like any professional woman would. To me, clothes have no gender. I prefer skirts to dresses. Dresses don’t allow me to mix the genders. I prefer a 'masculine' look above the waist and a non-gendered look below the waist. It’s all about clothes having no gender."
We asked Mark what inspires him to wear heels and skirts: "All the fashion options. With men’s pants, you have just a few color options: black, gray, navy, and brown, and no pants with prints. With skirts, you can add reds, green, brighter blues, floral prints, animal prints, etc. Same with shoes, but then you also have many more styles and heel types. Plus you can wear open-toed shoes when the weather is nice."
"I feel no different as to me, it’s just clothes. Naturally, on a cold or windy day, it physically feels different. When wearing heels, I feel taller, but also empowered for some reason. In all, maybe having the inner strength to have the confidence to wear non-conforming clothing has also given me the confidence and strength to handle my pressures at work," said Mark when asked how wearing heels and skirts makes him feel.
Mark has been happily married for 11 years and gets full support from his wife and family: "My wife often makes suggestions on what I should wear. My daughter wishes she could borrow my shoes at times."
The author shared what it's like to find feminine clothes that fit him: "I am 6’ tall and weigh around 165 lbs. I also have medium to small feet. I wear a size 8.5 US and 41 in Europe. I have a 29” waist so I wear a size 8 skirt in the US or a 38 in Europe. I also work out 2-3 times a week. So finding clothes my size is no problem."
dude has a bigger heel collection than me and hot dang those legs are rocking it
"I buy most of my heels online so that I can try them at home. This way I can have some shoe time and try going up and down the stairs. Feel how much they slip, the stability when testing stilettos. I’ll also wear them while sitting for half an hour or so. If they hurt right out of the box, then back in the box they go. So having a good comfortable shoe is important, but so is the style."
"My favorite is a 5-inch stiletto. I just love the way they make me look and the feeling they give. My least favorite thing is walking on uneven surfaces like a cobblestone walkway or a sidewalk with pavers that have gaps big enough to swallow a stiletto heel."
Mark described to us his favorite style to wear: "I wear almost exclusively pencil skirts and stiletto heels. I don’t wear dresses as that is not my style, which is presenting as the man above the waist, with non-gendered clothing below the waist. I prefer my skirts at the knee plus or minus an inch or two. My average heel height for a week is around 4 inches."
Lots of football helmets. A high-heel wearing skirt-wearing man who plays football! I like it!
He also described how people react to him. Mark said that women, usually around the age of 30 to 40, give him compliments. Men make comments or ask questions, but usually will not compliment his appearance.
"Take a person with bright green hair. Green hair is not normal. You look up and see this person, your mind tells you it’s a person with green hair, you think to yourself, that’s odd or interesting, then you go back to do what you were doing and don’t give it another thought. I believe this is the same when people see me in a skirt and heels."
Mark shared some advice for men who want to wear skirts and heels, but are too afraid: "If you are asking about heels, then I would say to start with a low heel and work your way up as your confidence gets higher. You cannot be afraid. Some people are like animals, they attack the weak. Show confidence and show the world you are not afraid and nobody will bother you. The only fear you have is fear itself. Skirts? Just do it. Maybe not with high heels, but skirts are much more acceptable on a man than a man wearing heels"
"Old girlfriend in college asked me to dance with her with us both wearing heels. We did this for more than a year. I got very good at walking and moving in heels. Throughout the years, I have worn heels off and on, but not with skirts. I just started wearing heels with skirts in the last 5 years. It was suggested that I would look a lot better in a skirt and heels than pants and heels," shared Mark when asked how he decided to start wearing heels and skirts.
"I am old enough to remember that in school, the girls could not wear pants. Pants have now become a non-gendered article of clothing. So why can't skirts and heels be non-gendered? Besides, men wore heels before women did. Maybe not today’s stiletto-style heels, but men did wear heels before women."
Mark is not only a mechanical engineer, he is also the head coach of a football team. He is currently restoring his 1967 Porsche 911 and his wife keeps him busy with her "honey-do-list."
"I do this for non-sexual reasons. Men can wear this style without being labeled as gay or queer. I don’t act like a sissy, which is one of the most frequent comments I get from men. They just assume I’m gay and a sissy until they start talking to me. I am just an average, normal, straight, and happily married guy. I love beautiful women, Porsche, and I just want to incorporate a skirt and heels into my daily wardrobe."
What do you think of Mark and his wardrobe? Tell us in the comments and vote for your favorite pictures and styles!
First ones I don't really like - more because they look like the foot isn't in the shoe comfortably.
He’s put a lot of time, thought and money into his clothes and shoes!
as a woman, I QUIT wearing high heels 35+ yrs ago because they hurt my feet too damn much.
