The artist has shared with Bored Panda that he has been creating comics for a long time, but previously only posted them on his personal account. Sean started "Deliberately Buried Comics" to differentiate his creations from his 'normal dumb' photos, with the specific aim of showcasing them to a wider audience beyond his friends. "So I just started from scratch as an anonymous account and built it up from there."
Sean shared what his creative process looks like: "I just start drawing. Usually, if I think of an idea during the day, I forget to write it down. So usually I just pick up the pen and just start sketching and hope that the idea presents itself to me. This can be rewarding but also something that creates absolute nonsense."
