Humans are weird, aren't they?
From taking selfies at the gym to the way we hang out with people we actively dislike during festive periods - the quirks of human nature are all but normal -even to us. But what would aliens make of our modern world if they ended up renting an apartment here?
This was the thought process that led me to create a new Instagram webcomic exploring that very concept.
'Lessons in Humanity' comic strips follow the day-to-day life of Will as he attempts to help his roommate, an alien named Armstrong, unravel the mysteries of human society.
A mix of satirical and silly humor, this funny comic ultimately aims to showcase how mind-boggling human behavior and how bad the problems with society really are if you think about it hard enough. Below is a selection of topics the funny drawings have already touched upon, find more on the comic's official Instagram page.

Homophobia
Another significant factor in homophobia is that straight men are afraid of gay men treating them the way they treat women....
It all starts at home. Give your children fruit and veggies instead of sweets, they'll likely grow up to have a healthy diet. If you give kids sea weed, snails or frog legs and so on, they're going to grow up thinking this is food, it's ok to eat it. The same goes for moral values, behaviours, standards, stereotypes, etc etc. So just be a smart and good parent, and you help make a better world.
Problem is, some people intentionally teach their kids to hate and be hateful. And they think they're right to do so.
Load More Replies...Homophobia is about the demotion of non-traditional gender roles. So saying "Carrots are not allowed to touch the peas, because it's disgusting and unnatural, even though it's not at all true." Might be an apt way of explain it.
What they said certainly is apt as well. It is more along the lines of " I dont like gay marriage/relationships, will not be in one because they are "icky" to me, so I will keep others from entering into them as well by voting and fighting against their rights to be in a marriage"....Yes, the non-traditional roles are a factor, but so is the "gay marriage is not for ME, the heterosexual, so you cant have it either" idea, too.
Load More Replies...People think my room mate is homosexual even though he positions himself as a heterosexual. Recently one of my relatives invited me for a dinner and board games evenibg so I asked whether he minds my room mate be there as well. He said it's fine but proceeded by asking whether is he gay (and it's not the first time this question is asked). I said that it's stupid to ask that over and over from me, we just share a flat and it's not my goal to investigate and prove he is anything other than what he cares to say about him. I asked why it bothered him so much? And he couldn't provide any reason besides well i'm not comfortable with this kind of stuff and that he doesnt want "these kind of people" around his son. Sounds like sexuality is some kind of an illness one can catch by just talking to a person or that homosexual people will immediately try to converse whoever different into their "movement" or whatever. It makes me mad that this kind of thinking exists and is so thick it won't even consider reasoning
Well that's not the only factor. It's also religion and society's morals that have been taught to people. It's not always what was depicted here. Like since some people have been taught since childhood that marrying the same gender is unthinkable, they'll reject it because they see it as morally wrong and as a backward function. As someone who grew up in a homophobic environment I can say this as a fact.
WOW, the comments about this comic goes to all different places, amazing.
No it's not. Homophobia is when you act all butthurt when you get hit on by someone of the same sex or if you just find out your neighbor or coworker is gay so you felt violated or uncomfortable. It's having an irrational fear of gay people or homosexuality in general. Typically those who feel this way have some shame within themselves likely from a past ordeal or they might be gay too.
Awkward use of the word "butthurt"... I'm too dirty minded.

The guys have to spread the whole field, though. The amount of chemicals they'd get directly on them would be much higher than what they're spraying on each plant, which will also be less than what we'll actually ingest.
