Pranava is releasing a line of products that make hair change its color like tree leaves in Autumn. However, the secret of the highly anticipated Vivids Mood Color isn’t photosynthesis. It’s temperature. “What makes it unique is that it’s the first-ever heat reactive color on the market,” Lissette Cruz, product development manager at Pravana told Allure. “Walking out into the sun, with the simple heat from the sun, makes the color shift. Any gust of wind can change it again and reverse right back to its original color.” Depending on what particular color is used, anything that makes the temperature drop or rise can turn yellow hair into green, pink hair into purple, platinum hair into blue and so on. “There’s no risk in using it. It does not damage your hair. You don’t have to pre-lighten your hair. You can put on various levels, but the brighter the hair, the lighter the color will look. It does lay on top of the hair. It’s temporary. You can change your color day in, and day out. It’s not dye.” Officially, Vivids Mood Color is coming out on the 1st of September, but barber student Jared Viliamu Pati got a chance to test it out sooner!
