This Janitor Received The Gift Of A Lifetime From Anonymous Students And It Will Melt Your Heart
We all know that one person who is always smiling no matter what. Well at the University of Bristol their campus favorite goes by the name of Herman Gordon. He is a university custodian from Jamaica, who came to the UK back in 1967 when he was only 12 years-old. According to the university’s students, Herman always puts a smile on everyone’s face.
As it turns out, Herman is so beloved students began talking about him on their campus website. The page is dedicated to University of Bristol students where they can share various anonymous messages. From funny to truly relatable posts, this page lets you share how you feel with other students. “On Bristruths, people can submit ‘truths’ via a google form. These are then posted anonymously by us (all based around the University of Bristol),” Bristruths told Bored Panda.
On May 19th, one particular message caught everyone’s attention. According to Bristruths, “The idea started when someone posted about how happy and jolly Herman always was, then someone said they might start a fundraiser for him, and off it went.” After this anonymous initiative, students decided to create a JustGiving page for Herman so he could visit his motherland of Jamaica with his wife. A month later the ‘Bristruths’ page announced, that with the help of over 250 students, they had raised £1,500 to give to Herman.

Just when you think that students are obnoxious little farts (I'm old enough to say thing about young adults), they turn around and prove that they're capable of grace and kindness. No faculty member would have thought of this.
I've read that a film or even a photo of someone yawning is enough to make you yawn. Apparently it's true of tears of joy too.
