After artist Stephanie Kilgast‘s cat Arya died, the artist decided to honor her with a sculpture. “We had to put [Arya] to sleep <…> after a lot of health struggle,” Stephanie says. “Sad of her loss, but relieved she doesn’t suffer anymore, I’ve sculpted her as a tribute.” Kilgast used fimo polymer clay for the whole piece, and bit by bit created something more than just a sculpture – she immortalized her memories of Arya. “Art truly helps to weep and create a physical memory, and it gets better with time.”

I've watched it over ten times and it still amazes me that people like you can take something completely blank and make something beautiful

So sorry for your loss, one of our cats also had to be put down a few days ago, she had lung cancer. But this sculpture is truly beautiful
