People have always been oddly curious about how the rich and famous live. That’s why celebrities can put out autobiographies and magazines can draw readers with deeply personal interviews, but those things don’t usually mention doing housework, going through airport security, or navigating thank-you letter etiquette. Fortunately, for that, we have Twitter, and we have Twitter queen Chrissy Teigen to answer all our questions.

The Q&A session started when someone wondered aloud whether celebrities have “junk drawers where they throw random cords and pens” and tagged her. (She does, but it’s unusually neat.) From there she opened up the field for whatever questions, from the mundane to the thoughtful, that her followers could throw at her. It’s not shocking or juicy, just interesting in a way that will make you say “...huh. That makes sense,” but that’s the point.

Scroll down to see the perks of fame and the situations that Teigen has to navigate

My problem is I can get up, walk downstairs to cut an alarm off, walk back upstairs, crawl back in bed and go to sleep no problem. I'm a professional snoozer.

Honestly, it makes sense. It seems super privileged, and it is, but it's safer for everyone. Some people can get stupid and down right squirrely around celebs. This makes it easier for staff, safer for the celebs and takes away the opportunity for stupid people to get themselves in trouble.

I have so much respect for this answer. This answer + the one where she sells her clothes and donates money to charity tells me that she gets it. That she understands that the wealth she has is not just because she & her husband worked hard for it or that they were smart, but because of some luck. So many people out there who are talented, hard working, smart and even set out to get rich. But they didn't have the luck or opportunities that she had. Wealth is not simply 'deserved'. It's a combination of deserving it plus a little bit of chance. Whether it be opportunities that weren't available to everyone or being born into it. Once we understand that, we can, hopefully, work on some path of at least ending extreme poverty.

I don't understand why you should feel guilty about having money, unless they were earned in a dishonest way

You don't need to feel guilty, you worked hard for that, earned it, and give plenty of it to your kids and charity- don't forget to take care of yourself :)

I think this might be a good tip even for commoners like us. Doors open more easily when you sound confident.

It's really great when people with this level of influence are honest about their mental health.

Seat fillers?? Is that like rent-a-crowd for when the celebs hang out at the bar?

I couldn't stand to be famous with my anxiety. It's fantastic to see someone being open about the pitfalls of fame and their own mental health. So much respect.

Ouch...I wonder though, since it IS a job on both ends does she pay a single amount to a company to do distribute, or does she get an itemized bill, or is it directly for each expense?

Aww, that's sweet. And taking them in an emergency (if there's enough time) is smart since that are some of the only things you can't really replace.

"The bigger the celeb, the nicer." Never thought about it, but it kind of makes sense. The more "important" you appear to be, the less you need to protect your ego (not neccessarily a bad thing, let's say, you're just less bothered). But, yeah, as she says, everyone's different.

I can understand that... and if people are on the "hate train" already... and just that **one** person decides to take your tone exactly the wrong way... you could say something as harmless as "I've cut down on potato intake" and suddenly ... within a week, you're anti-spud, and everyone who eats tubers hates you, all the potato farmers hate you... Heck... sometimes, you congratulate someone on a job promotion... and they get angry at you for writing the congrats to their "non-business account"... this turns into the interpretation you're an insensitive jerk who doesn't respect boundaries... aaaand you're suddenly blacklisted at the whole company. See? One. Wrong. Thing. I cannot even imagine what it's like to be a celebrity where masses of people actually CARE about every words you say.

... That would be us... the Canadians... we fight this inner battle. Our minds: "Ohh, I recognize her/him... I... oh man, no. They're... they're out with their KIDS... oh for f**ks sake, just ... yeah,we'll leave them alone, but man.. yeah, that's THEM right? Okay, seriously... just keep walking - they think you're a creeper now. Damnit. Once in a lifetime. NO... just.. keeep walking..." Strangely enough... we've had feedback that this is why many celebrities like it here... hey don't get harassed and although I'm sure they notice we're nervous, we let them freakin' have DINNER without causing a fuss. Most of us understand too that this is not their "on-the-clock" time. You wouldn't stop your accountant while he's hangin' with his buddies at a bar and demand he calculate up a little spreadsheet for you - so we don't feel that celebrities "owe" us sh** if they're not "on the clock, being celebrities" (ie: conventions, autograph signings, promoting something, etc.).

I'm not even a celeb but I don't leave the house if my hair isn't fixed and makeup on. :) She's definitely one of us.
