30 Times People Saw Entitled People Behaving In Infuriating Ways And Just Had To Shame Them Online (New Pics)
Beggars can’t be choosers or at least they shouldn’t be. But we keep seeing that this isn’t the case—there are plenty of people out there who keep putting their needs ahead of everyone else’s and get featured in the incredibly popular Choosing Beggars subreddit.
This Reddit community has a whopping 1.9 million members and is dedicated to stories about people who are way too picky. Be sure to check out Bored Panda's previous posts about the Choosing Beggars community right here and here, and give their subreddit a visit for some more awesome content.
Meanwhile, scroll down and upvote your fave pics of people who really need to get a grip and let us know in the comments if you’ve ever had the “pleasure” of meeting folks like this in real life. Some people feel like they’re entitled to special treatment and they don’t even realize that they might be hurting someone else. There are psychological reasons for this, so let’s get into them.

Cb At Walmart Wants To Add Groceries.
Wow, how ungrateful. If someone offered to pay for my groceries I would put the non essentials back (if I had any).
Feeling special and entitled is entirely natural when you’re a child: kids think that they’re the center of the world and it’s what psychologists refer to as healthy narcissism. However, it’s only one stage of a person’s psychological and emotional development—they eventually need to grow out of it and learn to respect others and what they want, too.
According to psychotherapist and psychoanalyst F. Diane Barth, L.C.S.W, who has a private practice in New York City, sometimes a sense of entitlement can even emerge when people feel mistreated or they don’t think that they’re getting what they need.

My Friend Got Shorted By A Pretty Major Influencer
“Often individuals who have been mistreated or disrespected exhibit a sense of entitlement when they start to feel that they deserve better than they have been getting. This is part of a healthy shift towards self-respect. Yet they, too, eventually need to find a way to balance self-respect with respect for others,” Barth writes on Psychology Today.
She points out that a small amount of entitlement is good for adults. Things like believing that we have the right to be respected by others and that we have the right to take care of ourselves and our loved-ones are positive things. But this doesn’t extend to situations where our actions or sense of entitlement benefit us at the cost of hurting those around us. Like cutting in line. Don’t cut in line. It’s a jerk move.

Barth’s colleague Steven Stosny claims that we’re currently living in the Age of Entitlement because our culture doesn’t support the development process that teaches us to balance our needs with the needs of others. And that’s one of the reasons that we have so many choosing beggars out there!

How Dare You Spend All Your Hard Earned Money On Yourself
Choosing Beggars
He should be greatfull that sommeone has a kind enough heart to give them some of his hard erned money.
I saw a homeless person that looked very destitute. I went to the local store and grabbed nonperishable food items, gatorade and some hygiene items, trying to make sure it was portable and easy to carry. I spent about $50 and when I brought it to her, she yelled at me that she didn't want that c**p and asked me for money instead. I noped the hell right out of there and ended up finding someone who was extremely grateful for the items. I had to keep reminding myself what my dad used to say: If someone tries to scam you, shame on them but if you see someone in need and don't help them shame on you.
Load More Replies...As a poor college student, I gave all the cash I had on me, which were only coins because I was that broke. The recipient looked at me with a pained and burdened expression and asked, don’t you have any bills. I laughed and laughed and kind of wanted to give him a bit more for his joke. I’ve only given money a few times since then. I’ll volunteer my time, give away my untouched lunch, but that’s it. No, I don’t feel good for doing it. Just hungry and grumpy and worried if the individual is allergic to anything.
I saw a beggar in the hot sun one day and I stopped what I was doing, took ten minutes to go park and go to the grocery store and buy some big Gatorade drinks so he didn’t get dehydrated. This ratfuck had the nerve to tell me he makes hundreds a day and was just trying to get a hotel for him to sleep with his girlfriend.
Load More Replies...Yep.. I was helping out a friend, a good one I thought, and she apparently didn't like what I was cooking when I'd bring her dinner. She told me two times to my face, well, beggars can't be choosers! Wanted to slap her, after I got home feeling horrible that she a good catholic woman, would say that. Also, I made this great casserole, and because I used a meat she didn't like, she threw it away! In the trash! When she told me, I was upset. She wasted good food! I told her, if she ever doesn't like what I've made, just let me know, I don't have to bring it over! Then she said the beggars comment. Then, she showed herself to be a really poor friend when I went in for lower spine surgery in early Dec. 2019, and was out of my mind literally u til sometime after Christmas. She had decided she didn't want to be friends with me, and would never give me an explanation. Just It's hard for me this time of year.. so, I've no room for the drama, and never bothered to worry about it anymore!
What a terrible friend. And who says to someone that's preparing food for them "beggars can't be choosers." That's not how it goes. You're not begging or choosing, they are. And to throw away food like that. I hope you make better friends.
Load More Replies...Yeah, that's what it sounds like. I've heard about people who pretend to be homeless just to get free money.
Load More Replies...If that dork was really hard up, he would have been grateful for the three quarters.
I have thousands in the bank but if someone handed me 3 quarters for free, I’d be happy. That’s almost a dollar. Can’t buy a lot but every bit adds up.
That brought tears to my eyes. I've seen people go down on their knees and thank the Lord for every penny.
There's a man who made over a million dollars as a beggar. That's all he did, he went out and panhandled on the streets somewhere down in Miami. There have been more stories popping up in recent years on how much some panhandlers can make. Turn about is fair play there are a lot who really are down on their luck and broke. This beggar sounds like either a newbie to it quite honestly.
When I could get around better, I saw someone panhandling and I said I don't carry cash, but Walgreens was close by, I'd gladly buy him something. Know what he wanted? Milk. So, I bought a decent size, keeping in mind a gallon wouldn't work, being hard to drink from, bought a couple of snacks & picked up a package of cough drops. Why? Standing around all the car exhaust & it was getting chilly. He was so grateful & kept thanking me.Was appreciative of the cough drops too
Once getting into my car after work, when it was almost dark out, this teen approached my car to ask for money. Already I was kinda put off bc I was half sitting in the car with the door open putting my stuff away and she stepped right inside the door. I worked at a bakery so offered her some cake. She didnt want that and insisted she only wanted money. The only thing I had was a cupholder full of pennies. I offered her that and she goes "ugh is that all? fine. i guess ill take it." She was so rude if she hadnt been standing in my door I wouldve driven off without giving her anything.
In animal crossing, I sell things like bugs and weeds when theres nothing else. It only gets me like 3 bells but bells are bells and I need to pay off my loan
I carry no change and no cash for this very reason, I feel better knowing I'm not lying. I'm always polite about it and just tell them "Sorry, hon - I don't carry cash".
They only buy booze with the money anyway, you'd be contributing to their death.
I used to handout money to street corner beggars, but switched to food and clothing items after I asked what they needed. I also tell them the address of a church that has a soup kitchen where I volunteer my time.
The principle is called 'opportunity cost' in which one determines that it is worth more to wait, than to accept less-than-desired. It can be charted on a graph. -Dr M
And that's okay. You choose how you spend the money you earnt.

You probably got a special because your first books are new. I’m hoping that I’m understanding it correctly, that you’re publishing more because you’re more successful now. Guess what? I would choose a beautiful book cover over a bland one for the same story. How much of your success do you think is dependent on people who edit your work and help you with the artwork.

This post just made me so depressed and frustrated. I just don't understand where this entitlement comes from. I grew up fairly well off and I knew at an early age to NEVER behave like that
If ya don't like their generous offer, don't take it. Simple as that
I have been struggling with low self-confidence all my life and have several friends with the same issues. Sometimes it's really heartbreaking to see it. Which makes it even more frustrating to read about all these people.

There are so many choosing beggars in the world and it is sad. No one is obligated to anyone else anything for free and if someone does give away things for free it is out of the goodness of their heart. People don't have the right to complain that the free item is not what they wanted or to ask for something different. If you don't want the item, don't take it. It's that simple. People have to stop behaving like they are entitled to superior treatment. I have always heard this quote: It doesn't matter how important you think you are, everyone's grave is the same size. It's time that the people on this world stopped acting entitled.
I sell on ebay. I have wording in my listings that states price is fim, 'if you don't like my price, shop elsewhere.' I get lowball offers every day. Every. Day. It is exhausting. And often I get a sob story....it is for my dying mother, my wife has cancer, my dead father bought me one just like this.
Sometimes it’s the opposite. People will offer to do something for me for free and I’ll offer to do something for them or pay a bit.
Instead of being happy with getting something for free or for a great price, some people just have to whine. Others just have to lowball others or mooch, with either promises of "exposure" (which is 100% pure male bovine feces) or sob stories (no job, sick grandma, etc.) I have no respect for people who pull tricks like that because they are cheating.
just publish some of "influencer" and "famous" person without censored.. it would be nice to see how internet will ruined their fabolousness..
Dear LORD some of these people were dropped PRETTY DAMN HARD as babies lmao
I saw quite a few things online and luckily what’s the time I get my asking price or not too much below i’m not lower than what I would take because sometimes I post things kind of high at first to gauge what I could get.
I wanted to read more or all of the posts, but I can't stand these kind of people. Ugh! In our country, we call people like this as cancer of the community.
I have always tried to be generous to those in need, but we've all got a sob story. I won't be played or manipulated. I will do my best to be a good person and help someone to the best of my ability, but I refuse to put myself or my family in jeopardy (financial or otherwise). Sometimes you just have to say no.
I only have one thing to say...what the HELL is wrong with people???!
