30 Times People Saw Entitled People Behaving In Infuriating Ways And Just Had To Shame Them Online (New Pics)
Beggars can’t be choosers or at least they shouldn’t be. But we keep seeing that this isn’t the case—there are plenty of people out there who keep putting their needs ahead of everyone else’s and get featured in the incredibly popular Choosing Beggars subreddit.
This Reddit community has a whopping 1.9 million members and is dedicated to stories about people who are way too picky. Be sure to check out Bored Panda's previous posts about the Choosing Beggars community right here and here, and give their subreddit a visit for some more awesome content.
Meanwhile, scroll down and upvote your fave pics of people who really need to get a grip and let us know in the comments if you’ve ever had the “pleasure” of meeting folks like this in real life. Some people feel like they’re entitled to special treatment and they don’t even realize that they might be hurting someone else. There are psychological reasons for this, so let’s get into them.

Cb At Walmart Wants To Add Groceries.
Wow, how ungrateful. If someone offered to pay for my groceries I would put the non essentials back (if I had any).
Feeling special and entitled is entirely natural when you’re a child: kids think that they’re the center of the world and it’s what psychologists refer to as healthy narcissism. However, it’s only one stage of a person’s psychological and emotional development—they eventually need to grow out of it and learn to respect others and what they want, too.
According to psychotherapist and psychoanalyst F. Diane Barth, L.C.S.W, who has a private practice in New York City, sometimes a sense of entitlement can even emerge when people feel mistreated or they don’t think that they’re getting what they need.

“Often individuals who have been mistreated or disrespected exhibit a sense of entitlement when they start to feel that they deserve better than they have been getting. This is part of a healthy shift towards self-respect. Yet they, too, eventually need to find a way to balance self-respect with respect for others,” Barth writes on Psychology Today.
She points out that a small amount of entitlement is good for adults. Things like believing that we have the right to be respected by others and that we have the right to take care of ourselves and our loved-ones are positive things. But this doesn’t extend to situations where our actions or sense of entitlement benefit us at the cost of hurting those around us. Like cutting in line. Don’t cut in line. It’s a jerk move.

Barth’s colleague Steven Stosny claims that we’re currently living in the Age of Entitlement because our culture doesn’t support the development process that teaches us to balance our needs with the needs of others. And that’s one of the reasons that we have so many choosing beggars out there!

You probably got a special because your first books are new. I’m hoping that I’m understanding it correctly, that you’re publishing more because you’re more successful now. Guess what? I would choose a beautiful book cover over a bland one for the same story. How much of your success do you think is dependent on people who edit your work and help you with the artwork.

This post just made me so depressed and frustrated. I just don't understand where this entitlement comes from. I grew up fairly well off and I knew at an early age to NEVER behave like that
If ya don't like their generous offer, don't take it. Simple as that
I have been struggling with low self-confidence all my life and have several friends with the same issues. Sometimes it's really heartbreaking to see it. Which makes it even more frustrating to read about all these people.
Unfortunately there seems to be some sort of inverse correlation curve between Confidence Amount VS Actual reasons to display any, similar to the Dunning-Kruger effect's one
Load More Replies...Omgoodness, entitled people like these drive me up the wall.. I deal with people like this all the time in my line of work. ME ME ME.. that's what society has become. Young or old or in between, they're everywhere and it's disgusting and outright mind boggling.
There are so many choosing beggars in the world and it is sad. No one is obligated to anyone else anything for free and if someone does give away things for free it is out of the goodness of their heart. People don't have the right to complain that the free item is not what they wanted or to ask for something different. If you don't want the item, don't take it. It's that simple. People have to stop behaving like they are entitled to superior treatment. I have always heard this quote: It doesn't matter how important you think you are, everyone's grave is the same size. It's time that the people on this world stopped acting entitled.
I sell on ebay. I have wording in my listings that states price is fim, 'if you don't like my price, shop elsewhere.' I get lowball offers every day. Every. Day. It is exhausting. And often I get a sob story....it is for my dying mother, my wife has cancer, my dead father bought me one just like this.
Sometimes it’s the opposite. People will offer to do something for me for free and I’ll offer to do something for them or pay a bit.
Instead of being happy with getting something for free or for a great price, some people just have to whine. Others just have to lowball others or mooch, with either promises of "exposure" (which is 100% pure male bovine feces) or sob stories (no job, sick grandma, etc.) I have no respect for people who pull tricks like that because they are cheating.
just publish some of "influencer" and "famous" person without censored.. it would be nice to see how internet will ruined their fabolousness..
Dear LORD some of these people were dropped PRETTY DAMN HARD as babies lmao
I saw quite a few things online and luckily what’s the time I get my asking price or not too much below i’m not lower than what I would take because sometimes I post things kind of high at first to gauge what I could get.
I wanted to read more or all of the posts, but I can't stand these kind of people. Ugh! In our country, we call people like this as cancer of the community.
I have always tried to be generous to those in need, but we've all got a sob story. I won't be played or manipulated. I will do my best to be a good person and help someone to the best of my ability, but I refuse to put myself or my family in jeopardy (financial or otherwise). Sometimes you just have to say no.
I only have one thing to say...what the HELL is wrong with people???!
