Mom Refuses To Pay Babysitter Because She ‘Gets Free Ice Cream And Day Of Fun’, So She Shows Her ‘Deleted’ Texts

Being a (good) mother is definitely a tough job. But if you use this as an excuse to scamming people of their honestly earned money, you’re an a**hole. Recently, Reddit user VortexThing posted an unthinkable conversation between his sister and the woman she worked as a babysitter for, and you have to see it to believe it.
“My sister’s name is Kristen, which is, unfortunately, all I can give you,” VortextThing told Bored Panda. “She had never met [the woman] before, but my sister has her own babysitting website in our town, so that’s how the woman contacted her.”
“Beforehand, my sister described her as ‘respectful and courteous,’ which made it all the weirder that the woman attempted to turn around and scheme her for free services,” they added.

UPDATE: “Many recommended a small claims court, which would help in small legal dealings such as this one. After speaking with my sister about her options, we decided that a court case is what we would do as a last resort. Yesterday, we decided to call the husband on his personal phone. It took a few tries to get through to him, but he eventually picked up and was quite sheepish about the whole free work thing. Basically, the conversation said something to the effect of ‘yeah, I’ll talk to her about it.'”

The problem with small claims court is even if you win, it's a real PITA to collect the money after!
Exactly - best thing is to work it out of court. Also, if anyone does a search on you, they will see that you took someone to small claims court b/c it's public record. I know from experience as I had to take a client to court when he wouldn't pay me $3k - fortunately he wrote me a check right then and there, in the court house, vs going in front of the judge b/c he knew he would lose (and I was suing him for more than $3k).

Idk, where they are, but in Ireland my 90 year old neighbor uses cunt to describe anything. The weather, her cat, a stuck door, the PM, the road, pretty much anything you can think of. It shocked me at first but I have come to understand it's cultural. Cunt doesn't have the same stigma in the rest of the English speaking world, as it does in Canada or the United States.

Scottish here, just about every 2nd sentence in Scotland includes the word cunt lol! Don't get me wrong there are some people who do find it offensive but not many really lol! It's not just said as a swear word/offensive word here, it has several uses eg. "I'm cunted" = I'm knackered, "See you, ya cunt" = offensive or said jokingly, "I'll boot your cunt in" = I'll kick you in the vagina! Totally versatile, and also used with a fuck in there somewhere too! We Scots definitely do a lot of swearing actually when you think about it, maybe certain areas are worse than others, not sure on that really though!
Having lived in London now for 42yrs the word cunt is socially acceptable now but it's how you use the word and the manner of which it is spoken that causes offence.....

There`s no such thing as bad language, its just language. The C word can be descriptive, hilarious, passionate or ironic. It is actually textbook progression of psychopathic behavior. when psychopaths are caught in a lie in a way they can't explain away, the standard response is verbal attack and/or violence. There are some interesting documentaries about such behaviors. Once you are aware of how psychopaths act, it becomes obvious.

Here in NZ cunt is a term of endearment, while if I were to call a Yank a "good cunt" they would probably take that as some kind of horrendous and unforgivable insult.
