Choosing Beggar Acts Like A Jerk After Asking Friends To Borrow A Car For His Wedding, Keeps Refusing Perfectly Good Offers
We hear a lot about bridezillas but grooms can be batshirt crazy, too. Take this poor materialistic bastard for example. As his big day was approaching, he decided it would be a great idea to drive up to the ceremony in a cool car. Which isn’t that crazy. However, the delusion began when he made a Facebook post, asking people to lend him their ride.
A few folks offered him their BMW M3 and Tesla Model 3, but the cars weren’t good enough for our hero. “It’s my wedding, not my 18th birthday party,” he replied rejecting the offers, adding that he needs something at least over $100,000. Eventually, someone took a screenshot of the ridiculous exchange and uploaded it to the Choosing Beggar subreddit where it has already received nearly 70,000 upvotes.

Here’s what people have been saying about the crazy dude
"I deserve what I can't afford" seems to be a common trend amongst influencers and a wider general public of the influenced. Self-entitlement is not slowing down!
Yeah. 👍 I’d stop being friends with this gold digger.
Load More Replies...My sister and brother-in-law run a wedding car company and when they saw this they agreed that they would offer the white vintage Bentley and when he is drooling down himself they would say "But it's an old car so you won't be interested" before leaving him with no car.
U wot m8?! Somebody offered you a TESLA and you say "no" Like BRUH a Tesla is something most people can only dream of having, Somebody needs to give him a good smack
Every car I've ever had was over 100K. Of course, that was the odometer, not the value of the car.
Better a tricycle....more his speed and throw in a pacifier for the dope.
Load More Replies...Didn't know this was a thing, meaning getting a nice car for your wedding. My wedding was at a court house, I threw up and cried because I didn't want to ever get married but the semester was starting soon and I needed the student loans and so my boyfriend agreed to marry me as long as I promised to never tell anyone. I cried and apologized threw the whole thing. We still married. Been together for 11 years and our 10th anniversary is next year, problem is that neither of us ever remember the date. My dad died last year without knowing I was married because the lie had gone for too long at that point and I couldn't bring myself to tell him. I love my husband and even offered to divorce him when I was making too much money for him to qualify for student loans but we realized we got more back in taxes. Kind of a shame. Thought it would be romantic to get married and divorced for student loan money.
You could always have another, “proper“ wedding, or a vow renewal or something like that, depending in the laws where you are.
Load More Replies...My brother said he would want a motorcycle with a sidecar for the bride.
Load More Replies...My parents got married at the local courthouse, had their wedding meal at Pizza Hut and they have been married for forty one years. This guy is a complete jerk and I wouldn't offer him a damn thing.
Exactly! It's not meant to be all about the wedding, it's about the lifetime of marriage that's meant to follow! Congrats to ur parents on such a happy match :)
Load More Replies...I hope the person marrying him knows what they are getting themselves into
what an ass! i borrowed my maid of honor's car for honeymoon drive as mine was classic POS. was very grateful except...she had to get someone to drive her to where we were staying on our wedding night place bc her 90 lb doberman locked her out of car & i had extra key. she was so mad at herself for interrupting us but we all had a good laugh.
Jerks be jerks, bitches be bitches and fools be fools. And they all are entertaining in some degree. I prefer to read about the adventures of Florida man and Florida woman, though.
The bride might want to reconsider her choice of husband. This one seems to be a sub par model.
So....this didn't happen, right? Just someone's internet stunt for attention?
The imaginary guy in a hypothetical situation is still a jack*ss... cautionary tale for the actual jack*sses out there.
Load More Replies...What a d!&k. If he wants something super special he ought to have organised to rent one... and paid for it! I'm surprised he's got any friends to ask with an attitude like that, and I really admire those offering those lovely cars to him if they know him well enough to trust him with their car. I hope the bride knows what she's marrying!!
If you know this person well enough to offer up something like your car, wouldn't you know them well enough to know they're a massive asshole?
There's a man lives down the road from me who owns a donkey and cart. Even that would be too good for him.
The old saying is as true today as yesterday, beggars can’t be choosers.
I appreciate how he wants the best for his wedding and all, but seriously? I should just send him to his wedding with a black eye...
The bride to be must be blind and deaf..Who would want to marry that *^&&%$
Is he just messing around? I'm having trouble imagining someone seriously behaving like rhis
How is he dissing ppl who can afford better cars than he can??!! Am confused??!!
I can't even get into a mindset like that ? Does he not realize he's being rude , or does he not care that he's being rude ? What an asshat
How did this twat get a woman to go on a date, let alone say yes to marry him?
The audacity to be picky like that when he's the one in need. He needs a car. . .turns down a freaking Tesla and an M3. SMH.
How about a 94 Mercury Topaz with seatbelts that may strangle you and a busted transmission?
This can't be real and if it is then someone needs to shove a boot up this kids ass
If you guys don’t know about the NEXT lady from r/choosingbeggars, she’s a LEGEND (and was referenced in one of the comments). Similar situation - needs vehicles for free but nothing is good enough.
Who drives at their own wedding? I had way too much to drink to be able to drive at mine. We rented a limo and took a cab at the end of the night. No one should be driving at a wedding, when I was sober I was too nervous, and after the reception I was intoxicated. Rent a limo or at least a car with a driver.
Well, not everyone drinks. Not everyone gets drunk the day before - some deliberately avoid it so that they don't feel crap on the day of the wedding. We drove at our own wedding - our own MX5 convertible. Some kid shouted 'nice car' as we drove back from the ceremony which just added a little something extra to a rather lovely day. We kept our wedding small and intimate though.
