Octopus Attacks Woman That Tried To Eat It Alive
A live-streaming host known as Seaside Girl Little Seven regularly posts clips of herself enjoying seafood, but this time, in hopes of gaining more popularity, she tried something else. And while the footage did spread across the Internet like a pirated version of Game of Thrones, it’s probably safe to say that it’s not the attention Seaside Girl Little Seven wanted.
The 50-second video was shared on popular short-video platform Kuaishou. It shows Seaside Girl Little Seven battling an octopus while trying to eat the eight-armed creature alive. The octopus apparently tried to defend itself by sticking to her face with its suckers.
The woman cried in pain as she desperately tried to remove the animal’s tentacles from her face.
Her face became nearly distorted in the process but the octopus eventually gave in and let go.
Seaside Girl Little Seven lives in the city of Lianyungang and loves seafood, according to her Kuaishou account.
She started her live-streaming channel about two weeks ago and has recorded herself eating a variety of cooked seafood including crayfish and lobsters.
But despite how short her career is, Seaside Girl Little Seven has already complained about not getting enough attention. “Why [have] none of my clips ended up on the trending topics chart?” she reportedly said in a previous clip.

Apparently, there are many idiots, in several countries. I saw a TV programme some years ago where a "chef" fried the body of a fish (I think it was a trout) while he kept it alive with a damp cloth around the head, and served it still alive, but half cooked and fighting for breathing, and people ate the fish while it was fighting for its life and they laughed at how the fish moved while it was being eaten. It was Korea, but there were also a lot of foreigners there "enjoying the experience".

I don't eat any mass produced meat, eggs, milk. I have fish once in every 2-3 months. And I feel gulty when I do that. Besides the cruelty factor a) when eating live octopus, you need to eat a much smaller one 2) usually the octopus is slightly chilled or marinated to make it sleepy 3) there's a technique, you have to wrap the legs with the chopsticks and swallow head first. Trying to eat an octopus that size could easily have been fatal.

I have read that octopi are able to match almost any pattern and color combination for camouflage, indicating a brain capacity way up there. There's also a scuba diver story about one who recognized a person in scuba gear. It's not that I think only dumb animals should be eaten necessarily, but the thought of eating one as smart as a human ( and probably smarter than some I know ) is a real turn-off for me.

I'm pretty sure that the octopus wasn't really alive. Salt makes the octopus move after death which is why you see videos of people eating the moving octopus after pouring soy sauce onto it. It is a delicacy. And even if it was alive, that is potentially someone else's culture. Don't judge them for doing what is acceptable in their culture.

Eating an animal alive is uncivilized, painful and cruel. To video oneself doing so is truly gross. One ought to humanely dispatch a creature first. Even among nonhuman animals, it is more conducive to peaceful mealtimes to kill prey before eating it. This young lady got what she deserved.
