Ah ... I so wish this were a childhood memory of mine! It’s full of joy! There were eight of us and my Dad worked all the time. When he was around, he couldn’t allow himself, or us, to relax and simply play. It’s the thing I regret most about my childhood — and why I play now.
I love this picture even though my bike riding memories leave a lot to be desired 😏
Our daughters were born in the UK and grew up on an island on the west coast of Scotland ... This is their/our childhood in a painting. I 💕 Scottish rain!
Welp this is the last picture, put my phone down, drink a glass of water, take a deep breath, and go outside. Just one more time, my childhood... i want to feel you
This looks so idyllic, I want to enter that world. And now I'm crying because I rarely ever had something like this.
You aren't alone at all! My husband goes on and on about his great childhood. He really doesn't get that most of us didn't!
Same here. I can't relate to 99.9% of these. Would be nice if I could.
I didn't either.. so I promised myself I'm making this up. To myself. You can too! Just jump on that swing set that you see. Go for a hike and see everything with wondrous curiosity. You can do it!
So sorry.
“At some point in your childhood, you and your friends went outside to play together for the last time and nobody knew it”
Awww, I recently asked my old time friend this, "Did we know that childhood was over?"
all of these genuinely tug at my heart. It makes me smile.
