A Guy Finds His Chicken Taking Care Of Three Orphaned Kittens And Captures It In A Viral Video
We often hear that parents are not those who give birth, but those who raise their children, giving their time, patience, and love. And who said that an adoptive parent is supposed to be from the same species? Nature never ceases to amaze us and the proof has recently been spotted in Iraq.
Kurdish farmer and soldier Goran A Surchi encountered something he wasn’t expecting in his chicken coop and got it on video. After their mother’s passing, three orphaned kitties needed shelter, warmth, and care, and this kind chicken took them under her feathers like her own. Quite literally.

“For some time now, I was hearing meows coming from our chicken coop and I was curious to know what was going on, as our chickens could be in danger. When I realized that the meows were coming from under the chicken, I decided to record it so as not to miss this unique moment and to my surprise, there were three beautiful kittens there,” Surchi told us about his cute encounter.

This reminds me of another story I saw on TV. A hen on a farm adopted and mothered a no longer stray kitten. Eventually, that cat grew up, had her own babies, and just dumped her kittens for the hen to take care of, while the mama cat wants nothing to do with the babies. Yeah, some ladies just aren't cut for the parents life, even in the animal kingdom.
Sometimes with cats, it takes a couple of litters for the instinct to kick in. Then you have a few like my childhood cat that ate all of her babies... Each litter...

A book end to the cat that fostered orphaned ducklings. Although that is even more amazing as somehow the ducklings discovered her milk and actually suckled. Oxytocin is an amazing hormone.

Awwww how adorable is this. Those fur babies are adorable 🥰 and they were staying safe and warm with their new mommy. I hope they have enough to eat and maybe get adopted or not.
Sadly, the mother kitten died, however, the hen was destined to find the kittens and that would have not happened if the mother hadn't died
Seems we need a spay and neuter PSA inserted here somewhere. I do wonder how the mother cat drowned, if she was otherwise uninjured? Cats are excellent swimmers, although most abhor being wet.
I looked at the TikTok account and it looks like a Mumma cat is with them. As I don't have a TikTok account I can't see the comments. Is the cat their actual mother or did they find another cat to adopt the babies? I am hoping this is the birth mother and they are taking care of her too? It's just that this article says they found the mother cat dead? I'm a bit confused can anyone help me out on this?
